Played today for the second time and wasn’t impressed. The conditions can be forgiven to a degree with the weather we’ve had lately. Tee boxes were ok but fairways were like concrete and tonnes of GUR around greens. Greens for the most part were good but loads of patches of dead or diseased grass on the fringes and parts of green. Most fairways have lots of slope so again with concrete conditions, you’re getting punished for hitting a good shot as it will roll off In to the trees. Lots of short dog leg holes, blind shots and very hilly. Staff were all really nice and the bar and food was very good. Just need
Fantastic Course
Played this fantastic course again which is getting better now the extreme heatwaves have subsided. One of the best in the area. Pace of play and etiquette are a serious problem though ... players in front constantly losing balls and spending 5-10 minutes looking for them without a thought to let anyone play through. Buggy users expecting to play past walkers playing at correct pace or driving all over fairways looking for lost balls and halting pace of play. We gave up in the end and short cut the round to find quiet holes. Shame.
Bromsgrove golf centre.
Friendly club house.Course in good condition and very testing.Looking forward to playing it again.Absolute jewel.Just off bypass easy to get to and so surprising, get up drive you are in a wood.Brilliant place.
Good Value for Money! Just slow
This isn’t my first time playing this course, my daughters is actually a members but my god the pace of play is extremely slow (regardless of the time of day you play) Taking over 2hrs 30mins to play 9 holes, and I was playing on my own, zero courtesy from members letting people play though.
Sometimes it’s been 3hrs to play 9 holes and honestly just kills all the fun on what is a good little course. Bit short for my taste but a decent challenge for sure for the cost
An enjoyable day
Played here a few times, so was looking forward to it. Usual brilliant customer service in the main clubhouse and then at the starters hut. Was advised it would be a slow round as there were a couple of competitions on etc. It actually wasn’t too bad after the first couple of holes.
A couple of small issues. The bunkers - half a centimetre of loose sand if you’re lucky over packed solid sand. Good luck getting out of those.
The greens - the practice green was great. Recently mowed and ran true. The 18 out on the course were a different story. Very fluffy with very inconsistent pace.
Will we be back, yes - especially if they have the bar set up by the 10th tee again!!!!!
Course in poor condition
Nice Club house and bar. However the course is pretty much unplayable I.e tees either mats or heavily weathered grass tees, temporary greens basically ridiculous (the worst I've seen/played), course - branches/twigs everywhere + very muddy. Not enjoyable, not worth playing, Golf Jim but not as we know it! Definitely wouldn't recommend or return in the winter. Please beam me up Scotty!!!
Surprised
Surprised the course was open considering the snow we had
All temporary greens and mostly temporary tees but acceptable as it was the only course open locally
Slow play is an understatement
Was stuck behind a 4 ball of older blokes and a 3 ball infront of them what was basically playing together wouldn’t let us through at all was waiting around 20 minutes on every tee box for them 1 was in buggy rest was carrying clearly new to the sport what is fine but me and my friend was only a 2 ball and could of let us through walked off after the 16th! Took us 3 hours to get around the front 9 absolute joke usually takes us around hour and half!
