Cannock Park Golf Course

Brilliant day with my 2 sons and my brother, course is very good and quite demanding for a municipal course . Would highly recommend a round here .

When we first arrived we straight away noticed a big queue waiting to play the first hole. As we approached the reception it was obvious that it was closed due to the roller shutter doors being down. There was a few score cards on the floor and a sign saying reception was closed for the whole day. I had booked the earliest tee time available in order for me to play my round and get home so I could go to work. The queue to start the first tee off already put us 20 minutes behind. After a couple of holes in became apparent that there was some kind of senior golf tournament taking place. There’s slow play and there’s SLOW PLAY! None of the groups in front let us play through. After 3 and a half hours we had played 12 holes . We should have been long gone by then. Unfortunately I had to leave at that point to go to work. Leaving me unsatisfied and very frustrated. 16 pound for a very poor experience, I will not be going back to play again.

This golf course is run by the people who look after the leisure services in Cannock, enjoyed the game and was good value for money. Needs some TLC and due to recent weather conditions, it was a little bit scruffy (tees & greens). I would recommend to others to play once. There are no course facilities and no clubhouse, so the 19th hole would be a local pub.

1st time visitor. Very happy with course. Would recommend to colleagues. Really enjoyed it

This course is a good layout but lacks some loving care as some greens are in poor condition . With some well placed trees and water hazards the course has some good challenges.

The only staff member was the lady at the reception who was very nice and helpful

With some TLC this course can the a great value for money course again

Great course for a municipal, well maintained and great layout. Would definitely play here again and recommend the course!!!

Really enjoyed the course and the greens were in a decent condition. Will certainly be revisiting after a 5 year break from the cannock park course.

Patchy and all different can’t judge the pace of the greens at all. General layout of course is excellent and challenging and then you get to the greens and they are absolutely atrocious. Way overpriced if Cannock sorted the greens it would be a very good course to play. Let’s it down so much. How you can charge £16 a round is daylight robbery purely for the conditions on the greens. Make it cheaper or fix the greens so it’s a fair price so then you actually have a chance of putting in a 20footer

Decent 18 hole lay out with some tricky tee shots. For a municipal course it was impressive however the greens were poor and bobbly. Not the worst I’ve played but couldn’t read a put all day. The only other down side was that there were the people walking around the course throughout the day with paths leading around and through. Couple of times you would have a shot at the green and there would be someone walking towards you to the right of the fairway... thin it right and you’ve killed someone.

Overall tho good municipal course however if they could just get the greens in better shape it would be a so much better

Played Sunday course overall not too bad pace of play was good once the 2 guys who jumped on the course off Stafford road went! Pity about the greens! Cannot believe they are so bad considering no one has been near for months until 29th March made putting difficult

But weather was good so good just to be able to get out of the house and enjoy golf

Considering the amount of time that the greens have not been used for they are in terrible condition, have obviously not been looked after during lock down very dissatisfied

Great game as usual at cannock, just a shame we were sold a slot for me and my dad that was in fact them forcing us into a 4 ball with 2 random guys, so if you want to play here.... Book direct
