Stunning Location

The location and surrounding areas make this a course you want to play on. The course is close to the sea and was lucky it was sunny with very little wind.

The front 9 becomes tricky after the 2nd hole with narrow fairways , the back 9 is a little more open and less challenging than the front 9 but still a challenge. Greens and fairways were well looked after.

The clubhouse and bar area is good and the outside garden area is very good, with Hotel with spar and Gym facilities.

Highly recommended

A very fun experience

The scenery across the whole course is gorgeous, And some of the holes on the front 9 really test you. The back 9 leaves a little to be desired in terms of course design as they are mostly straight par 4s & 5s however this can be forgiven in a links scenario where space is limited

Windy weather

So much to like about this course

The course was in an understandably parched state given the weather we've had in recent months, however there is still so much to like about this course, especially the rugged dramatic scenery.

Helpful Staff

The views from all the course are fabulous, and it’s very much worth the effort to go there.

What really impressed me was how helpful the receptionist was, her name was Clare and she went out of her way to help us, my colleague and I both have knee problems and hadn’t pre-booked a buggy and none were available.

Clare looked into the matter further, worked out what might be available when our T time was, disappeared off somewhere & re-appeared with a Buggy and a smile.

Thank you Clare, you are a great ambassador for the Golf Club and have certainly encouraged me to consider joining, a very friendly, helpful and enjoyable experience.

Cape Cornwall changed layout

Lovely scenery but very difficult to negotiate especially the front 9. Apparently layout had recently changed so neither our apps or GPS were of any use. Yardage markers were hard to find if they existed. Fairways very dry although not the courses fault. Greens weren't too bad

Always A Pleasure Playing Here

Missed out on a round here in 2024 so keen to get one in as early as I can this year. It has always been a pleasure playing here, enjoying the glorious views and a challenging, though fair, course. Enjoyed my 4 on the 12th.

Stunning views, few challenges for first time players.

Great place with some stunning views. Members and staff were very friendly. Only the quality of the greens that let it down. Some tricky holes on the back nine if you haven’t played before. Would certainly play again.

Great Course Condition of Greens Poor

Played 2 days in a row on this wonderful course and a dozen or so times over the last 5 year. The new owners are doing a great job with the club house and facilities. They are investing a lot of time and money and also filling in holes in car park and path ways around the course. The bunkers are in good condition but GREEN WERE VERY POOR. Not cut for days and very patchy to the point that would think twice before playing here again, sorry. Please don’t forget to maintain the greens to a good basic standard. Would be happy to discuss our feedback with the course should they wish to do so.

Great views

Overall, the course was in a good condition. The course is a bit confusing with the holes not matching up with the layout drawing given by reception. Overall I really enjoyed the course but would maybe get a buggy next time.

Views were amazing and for the cash I thought the course was a bargain.

Course cancelled round and have been ignoring refund emails

We were due to play Cape Cornwall and travelled an hour to the course. On arrival we got informed that the course was closed due to fog, having received no email or call prior. Since, we have sent the golf course a number of emails, requesting a refund for the booking, as we were unable to play and had already payed for the round online. Cape Cornwall ignored all emails sent and no refund has been issued. Very disappointing.

Challenging course especially when windy

Played Cape Cornwall for the first time and a somewhat damp and averagely windy day (for Cornwall). The views from the course across the ocean are stunning particularly holes 12 through 16. The course Ihas some tricky holes and accuracy of the tee is definitely needed ((at one point I started to wonder if I had enough balls with me!). Greens are slow (more akin to winter greens) which makes putting a biit of a lottery. That said it was great value for money and I will go again and hope for a calmer sunnier day!
