The recent weather meant it was wet everywhere
Grounds people did a fantastic jod, but greens were spiked recently and a bit boobkuy, again the rain dictated what was needed, lovely views, friendly staff good days golf, would definitely play again, although was at topof prices we look for
Lovely
Despite being local to me I'd never played here and now realised that I've missed out. Staff were super friendly and helpful
Course was in good condition considering recent rain. And well set into the landscape or should I say terrain as in places its somewhat steep. Will definitely be back in the summer
Great holes and always good condition
Chose Chiltern Forest as always great condition and enjoy the varied challenging holes. After days of rain we picked a fine day and the course had drained very well. Greens really excellent considering conditions.
Not long but very hilly, you know you've played it!
Several holes cross each other but that's the only negative. Realistic price.
The bar sells wonderful Tring brewery beer too!
Very hilly but lovely setting
Set in the beautiful woodland setting this is a very attractive golf course that is in really good condition. We played as a two ball (both around 15 handicap) and we’re only held up by a four ball (members) who kindly let us through. The course is fairly hilly so some may struggle. Some holes you have to walk across fairways to get to the next tee and wait for others to tee off on other holes but it’s not too much of a problem. Followed by a lovely hot shower and a lovely cold beer sat on a terrace with a great view… definitely recommend
Nice course some Horrible Members.
I played the course on a nice sunny sunday. I arrived at the second hole to a barrage of abuse from two members complaining about pay and play who "shouldn't be allowed on the course" the abuse continued with the two members complaining about the pace of play( which as quick for a Sunday afternoon 1 and 3/4 hrs for 9 holes). They then got abusive to me and demanded I stay away from the Tee while they were waiting. I stopped playing after 9 holes as I couldn't put up with their behavior. I complianed at the proshop, who knew the members in question and said someone would talk to them later.🤔The course was nice but the message I got was we want your money but do not you on our course.
Greens and fairways in superd condition stunning views over the Chilterns would recommend a buggie walking is a killer
sunny side of the hills.
four of us. paid for a hot deel ,the course was in very good condition, with the greens playing to a high standard.a person who has walking problems, should take a buggy.and enjoy the course.
Hidden gem.
Great course. Great layout. Greens were superb, if not a tad quick (for me).
Demands accuracy off the tee as some fairways are incredibly tight.
Only downfall was the card machine didn't work at in the bar, but that is the only drawback to this course when I played. Oh, that and the 8th hole was been landscaped and renovated but these things do happen to keep the best courses in top shape.
Fabulous
What a gem of a course no need for massive long holes just good old fashioned design please try it.
Stunning!
Took a friend who is new to golf and was blown away by the layout of the holes and views.
Nice easy opener but straight after on 2nd hole you are blown away.
Course not in best shape due to badgers but still worth the £18 we paid.
Scenic Course
Some great holes and greens very good. Be wary if you’re a high handicapper as this course can really punish you.
Hidden Gem
A must play course very challenging and beautiful scenery I will be back.
Give it a try
Challenging walk
Excellent choice lots of different holes but a very challenging walk I would recommmend a buggy. Staff were excelleng and I was callled on the morning to advise us that it was carry only. Looking forward to playing it again in the summer with a buggy
Good golfing test
Wonderful mature course with interesting holes. Don’t be fooled it’s no push over with lovely views. A hidden gem for sure.
Little Gem
Little Gem in the middle of a forest, but beware not for the unfit. If in doubt get yourself a buggy.
