Awesome, if you're fit!
Although not long if the course was ironed out flat it would surely be championship length! It's very hilly and some holes cross other fairways. If you don't mind those negatives it is awesome, especially on a perfect day like ours was when there are picturesque views for miles, lovely peace and quiet with no road noise. Nearly every hole is a different challenge and all are in excellent condition. Very enjoyable.
Beautiful – but hilly!
What a lovely course! Some extreme hills to contend with, so tough going without a buggy, but the course looked immaculate. Will definitely be back.
Fun, Challenging in places and Amazing Scenery
The course appears to have been originally designed as a nine-hole course but added to make the full eighteen over the years so the holes cross one another on many occasions - Assuming the pace and loading of players is controlled it makes no difference. The course is set over a lot of up and down terrain in The Chilterns and we were happy to have taken a buggy. The staff were extremely helpful and the local villages have plenty of good pubs for something to eat if you wanted to explore after a game. We really enjoyed the day and will go back.
A scenic experience in beautiful countryside
Played the course with my son on Sunday afternoon who was experiencing Chiltern Forest for the first time. Some of the holes are quite challenging and require a well placed tee shot but overall it is a fair test of golf for the average golfer. The course was in great condition and the staff were very welcoming. Overall a great afternoon .... thank you.
Great layout, tight fairways,very hilly
Great layout if confusing at time. The fairways are tight and challenging. The 17th hole is the most unusual either myself or partner have played.
The only thing that let down a great course was the poor greens.
A good test
The course was very good but unfortunately there were temporary mats in operation on certain tees. Credit to the club though as they did lower the green fee price accordingly. There was also a society out so the pace was fairly slow but on the whole it was a good day. A very scenic course so i'm sure you will enjoy playing it
Absolute Gem
Just an cracker of a course, played it a few times via our golf society handicap of 10, it's a real test of golf in parts especially the back 9, tight & hilly panoramic views throughly recommend it, come what may you'll leave with a smile & come back again just like moi! ☺
