About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Excellent Golf
Great conditions. even with freshly sanded greens. Not overly challenging, and fair. A consistent layout that allows for a good rhythm, thoughtful club selection, and good scores. The pace of the greens is great, bring your lag game. A really worthwhile experience.
Nice course
Overall nice course for the value. Some greens seemed over watered TBH, but still is good shape. A few had patches of turf replaced that were growing back.
Fairly good pace of play.
Most prices on all courses have gone up, this one is no exception, but at least not as much as Star Ranch has.
Great course
We had a nice Thanksgiving playing this course. The greens were in good shape and the layout is somewhat challenging.
Great Value, Great Staff
This has to be the friendliest most helpful staff of any golf course I have visited. And the beer and hot dog included with your tee time is a nice bonus. Cannot recommend enough!

It was a nice round. Would be cool if we paired with people who can play.
Perfect Challenge
If you want to really test your golf skills on reading the course and which club to lay up. It is amazing. This course was amazing but like any course this time of year the greens were a little rough but it was still great play.
Nice course for the price
This course is challenging but fun. It was in good shape, although it was cart path only the day we played, which slowed the pace a bit. It was a good value for the price and I would definitely play it again.
Awesome Gem in Round Rock, TX
Great course as always. How many course give you water for your round anymore?? Price also included lunch and a drink Greens are nice. Slower than usual, but for the Heat they are in great shape. Highly recommend
Best Public GC in Austin area
Considering the extreme heat and lack of rain this summer, Forest Creek fairways and greens are in excellent shape - best conditions in the Austin area for a public course, hands down! Add to that the friendliness of the staff who make you feel invited and welcome, a reasonable weekend green fee that includes very good range/balls and a small lunch, and a 4 1/2 hr pace of play, this is the best public weekend golf experience I've had in a long time. Well done FC!
