About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Great afternoon on the course
Played with a couple of very nice young men—one who was familiar with the course. He was quite helpful. Very friendly, welcoming and professional staff. Starter and marshals also helpful and friendly. Par 5’s ate my lunch, but otherwise a pretty good round for my first time there. Live an hour away, but will definitely go back. Tee boxes and greens in very good shape. Some challenging doglegs that made it interesting.
Great Course, Great Staff, GREAT PRICE
I play this course quite often. I have to say that out of the 6 course I play often. Forest Creek is by far the best course of them all. I live on Star Ranch, and to me. It is not worth the price, nor a fun course to play. Forest Creek is priced very well, and you get little perks included with the 76$.
Played the course on a Thursday saw the Bev cart once on one of the hottest days of the week. Green we’re in ROUGH shape do not see how a US Open Qualifier was hosted here on these greens.
Course and the Staff 10/10
If you want to have a amazing day on the course COME TO THIS COURSE. I just moved here from out of state and I must say $80 for a bucket before your round, sleeve of balls, and a beer with a hotdog at the turn. You’d be delusional not to play this course. Most friendly Staff I’ve ever been around at a course. Temp got up to 105 and the Rangers even swing by to drop off a ice cold rag to cool off. PLAY THIS COURSE you won’t regret it.
Consistently Good
Greens were fuzzy and slow but apparently they are getting ready for a qualifier so understandable.
I believe they have the friendliest staff in the area . They always seem happy I am there.
Good attitudes all around.
I will be back.
