About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Nice course
The course was nice and staff very friendly. The only issue we had was sharing a cart with someone we didn't know. We have been fully vaccinated for Covid and need to be extra cautious due to family. The person sharing a cart with my husband was not vaccinated which came up late in the round. We do feel the course shouldn't make people combine carts with people they don't know.

5 1/2 Hour Round - Totally ok with Staff and Mgmt
Extremely slow play. Count on a 5-6 hour round. Marshall’s and Management Team do nothing to control. Disappointing because I have been a regular foe more than 20 years. Customer service continually poor.
The Ford Mustang of Golf Courses
The Ford Mustang of Golf Courses. People talk about this course like it's the gold standard of public golf courses. Great for teenagers or lower middle class midlife crisis dads, a great course if you've never played anywhere nicer or don't mind a 6 hour round. Don't get me wrong conditions were good, and there was nothing that was terrible, just found this place to be underwhelming. Maybe ill give them another shot
Good Condition
Nice course and layout. They make you ride 2 to a cart which I did not like.
Forest Ridge
This course is a nice test of golf for men from tips and a women from upper tees. Fun layout though to score well need to play few times or with someone who has that knows layout- many where course knowledge will assist
Greens were little slow and bumpy later in day but to be expected and the rest of the course was in decent shape for the money…
Beautiful challenging course
Will definitely challenge any level golfer. Greens are well kept, staff is very friendly. Beautiful practice facility. They announce your tee time over a loud speaker so you don’t lose track of time practicing.

Great time
The staff here are extremely helpful and pleasant. That goes a long way. There is a good amount of shade for a Texas course and its laid out well. A free beer and hot dog never hurt anyone either. I just wish i was a better golfer.
Forrest Creek
Pace of play was pretty slow today. It was super hot and for some reason didn’t have the cart girls working but it’s always a good course with friendly staff. Won’t be disappointed playing a round here.
