About
Designed by Dick Phelps, Forest Creek Golf Club has been named "Best Public Golf Course in Central Texas" by Golf Digest as well as "Golf Club of the Year" by Club Corporation of America. Phelps' design features plush, narrow fairways, and its namesake Forest Creek that comes into play on 11 holes. Many of the holes dogleg, and its most difficult holes are the long par 4s. These holes are especially evident on the back nine, with holes 10, 15, and 18 all playing well over 400 yards. The 15th is the most difficult, playing a bogey-welcoming, par 5-like 472 yards.

Nive course with challenging greens.
Course was nice and challenging. The greens are huge and a challenge to read. Enjoyed it very much and will be coming back.
Love Forest Creek
I play this course a lot. Once a week. Good conditions. Great Hospitality for a public course. Julian is a Marshall. He's the best Marshall in the area. I play 20 different courses a year, and Julian is the best. Forest Creek for me, is just as good as any course in town....and a better value than any.

Great course excellent condition and staff is awesome. Manager Jeff very friendly guy and greats everyone and makes you feel welcomed
Target Golf
Great layout that gets more fun the more you play it. You could take only irons and it would save you a lot more strokes than you lose by leaving the big sticks at home or in the trunk. Refurbished greens are infinitely better than before so if you haven’t played it since reopening, you will be pleased. They are pretty firm so don’t expect to fly it to the hole and have it stay.
Excellent Course
This course was in great shape. In fact, I would say it was in as good if shape as some PGA tour quality courses I have played. Greens were some of the best I have been on. Staff was friendly and very attentive to what we needed. Course provided water on the first tee. We will definitely be back.
Unfriendly old man
I got paired with two higher handicappers who lost their ball on the first hole. Granted they did take a little long, we were chipping green side and were met by their class-act golfing assistant. He drives up and brashly asks “what’s the deal, why are y’all taking so long.” He told us to pick our balls up and to go to the next hole. Other than the customer satisfaction, the golf course was in good shape.
This course never gets old...
I could play Forest Creek everyday if my body and wife would allow me too. The staff is very friendly and they actually care about its clients and I mean from the cart guys all the way up to the head pro. Oh yea... Be sure and try their lemon pepper wings and spicy fries!!!
Consistent coarse
You always know what your going to get when playing Forrest creek. Nice staff and green fairways.
Overpriced, bad marshals, too many overhanging trees
I heard they spent millions re-vamping this course. I just do not see it.
The course is a pretty boring layout. It does have one whole that makes a square around a patch of woods but why?
A marshal jumped on us after I tapped the flagpole with my putter. The green was so muddy i was knocking mud off.
He claimed I did "significant damage " to a flagpole with my putter?
That sun of a biscuit eater hawked us the whole round and sat between us and the green a few times. I buzzed one over his head. Very unprofessional.
We were using pushcarts and they had flooded the course trying to get the grass to grow. It was so bad I almost got a pushcart stuck walking across the fairway
I still stole 3 birds from this place but I doubt we will be back.
Trim some trees please!!
You should not have to contend with tree limbs from a tee box!
Great staff, good course
Always enjoy rounds at Forest Creek, fairways were manicured to the rough and the recent wet weather didn't hurt this well draining course!

Fun layout
First time playing the course and glad I finally tried it out. Interesting course with a lot of doglegs and you need to think your way around the course. Greens were in great shape and were firm and fast.

Sir, your behavior that day was totally unacceptable. We had to adjust the cup, you banged the flag stick so hard on the 2nd hole. The wetness you speak of was from a severe T-storm that dropped over an inch of rain a mere 2 hours before we opened. You exchanged un-pleasantries with more than one member of our staff during your round. We do our very best to insure customer satisfaction but we are not sure we were ever going to please you on this day. Hopefully it was just a bad day. Take care.
