You can tell this was designed by a great

Really liked this course, it reminds me of some of the open venues I've been to, although we've had an exceptionally dry summer the course was in great condition, we even got chatting to the greens staff and we were informed it's normally even better than this!!! The greens faster as well!! You could see Cleethorpes is looked after, the team were going tee box to tee box seeding and repairing any blemishes. The lady pro was also great very welcoming to guests and also told us of future offers. We will definitely be coming back, just a great atmosphere and a great links course.

Cleethorpes

I really don’t like giving negative feedback, but the whole experience of Cleethorpes was underwhelming and left us a bit disappointed, tees and greens were great, but that was about it, all courses are currently struggling with the lack of rain, but even taking that into account the course is just a bit boring with no memorable features, a bit up and down in places, course is noisy,,,,,,,, I’ll leave it there.

Warm Welcome

An example of how to treat visitors . Met with a warm welcome by the pro, shown where both the 1st and 10th were and the lockers had visitors lockers for the use of.

Food after was very nice, Pace of play was good and the course was busy.

No Actual tee times

Although you book a tee time through Golf Now, we were told that they don't actually operate set tee off times. Therefore, you have to wait in a queue before teeing off. Depending on the day of the week and party size also dictates whether you tee off on the 1st or 10th tee. A nice course with fast greens. Friendly staff and members added to the overall enjoyment of the round.

1st visit

It's the first time I have visited and played this course, overall I was impressed

Pro shop is well stocked and staff were very friendly advising of us where to start playing, very welcoming

Practise green and nets were in a very good condition

Overall the course was very good, despite it being very dry on the course. Greens were and approaches were being watered even at 1pm. Greens were good, disease free but we're slightly bobbly, no major issues tho.

Course was very well kept and some of the holes are very similar, but many offer a challenge. A few blind drives made it a challenge for a first time player.

Represented good value for money, will be back again...fingers crossed they get some rain.

Good value, friendly and well organised.

Cleethorpes always enjoys constant attention from ground staff and obviously has a thriving social hub in the clubhouse. A well organised club and great value too

Considering the recent wet weather, the course was in great condition, though all greens were temporary. All staff are friendly and very helpful

Get there early

Had a 1048 Tee time booked. There was a club comp starting at 1050. Due to a road closure caused by a local event we arrived at the pro shop ready to go at 1046 and told to go straight out before the comp. Unfortunately, the first group of the comp had already teed off. We were then asked to start on the 10th. No problem to us, with nobody ahead of us.

However, when we came off the 18th, there were still around 16 comp players waiting to go out so we were delayed for about 40 mins before we could continue. As we were a two ball, and hitting the ball quite well for a change, we did get held up a little, but not excessively. Overall, a good course, nice greens, surprising wildlife. Shame about the weather.

Pure fast greens

We booked this course on a daily deal, not knowing what to expect. But upon seeing the course when entering the pro shop it was clear that we wouldn’t regret it. The course was immaculately well kept, with staff and members all very friendly and welcoming. We had a pretty much empty course for the front 9 before catching up with a ladies medal competition on the 11th hole. The pace of play for a four ball was very quick and we were only really waiting a few minutes each tee (we were a 2 ball). Green keepers were working cutting the rough on parts of the course but were very aware to allow us to tee off and unobtrusive to play. Would definitely play again!
