Not one to moan at all ever about the greens being spikedd it’s part of the maintenance, but when your paying to play a different course there should be warnings or something to tell people of the conditions, all set up to enjoy the day and then just ruined by spiked greens full of sand
Maybe one to think about putting on the golf now site, the state of the greens for info
Enjoyed the game
I enjoyed the game but I feel the course its let down by the very long par 3's which are not a test of Iron play as I think they should be. They were particularly hard for my wife when she had to take a driver to reach the queen , this makes not sense at all. Common with so many course in this country there are no toilet facilities on the course at all, having spent millions on the new spar, you would think a toilet block at halfway would have been possible., if you need to go you have to walk al the way to the club house which just slows the game completely.
First visit. First class!
The day started with a warm and informative welcome in the Pro's shop. We found the course to be in great condition with perfectly manicured tees and greens. Lots of interesting and challenging holes, despite it being a flat course. Signage on the course was excellent and really helpful, and no long treks between green and next tee. A welcome drink in a particularly smart clubhouse concluded an excellent visit.
Really enjoyed my round of golf at Laceby Manor although the course was extremely dry it was still in excellent condition with the greens in great shape
Well layabout course. Nice and challenging. Particularly like the new 1st tee .Thoroughly enjoyed the game.
Best course I’ve played in a long time, greens were excellent to say we’ve just had a heat wave so credit to all green keepers and staff!
Will definitely be back and recommending to friends!
Laceby golf club
Day out good only concern is I originally booked a 3 ball and revised to 2 people due to one of party getting covid I've received no refund for booking why is this thanks
I really enjoyed Laceby Manor, what a fantastic course. The front nine is very tight, I'd leave the driver in the bag unless you're very straight with it. Back nine is a little more open. It's a challenging course with hazards everywhere, but it was in fantastic condition. The greens were some of the best I've ever played. I would highly recommend playing here and will be back myself for sure.
Interesting flat course
My first visit to Laceby Manor did not disappoint.
The course was in good condition and well designed with water features to be considered on many holes. These water features did not dominate any hole, rather you had to play straight or perhaps consider laying up or going for it, no major carries over lakes.
Greens were in great condition, fairly flat and ran true.
Only downside, we were behind the tail end of a Comp which was playing slow.
Great value, great course
Having played the course many times as a youngster the course has been redesigned in some areas but all for the better and now the trees and course have matured it makes for a challenging first few holes and an attacking course to play on the back nine. Greens were lightning fast pleasure to putt on albeit a little unreceptive, however that is forgiven for the condition of the rest of the course.
Excellent conditions from tes to greens throughly enjoyed my round of golf at Laceby Manor Golf course.
Absolutely 1st class usually a bit expensive but on the day it was good value for money, the course was in excellent condition, no winter tee's no winter greens and no boggy ground, full credit to all ground staff, well done
