Great morning tee off

Booked an early tee time and fortunately no one before or after us. Coarse was immaculate. Late on in the round caught up with some members who had started on different hole but they were more then happy to let us play through. Par 3 over the water is great but most holes are great to look at from tee box.

Wide open spaces

As a novice golfer, I enjoy being able to send my T shot into wide open spaces.

There are a few tricky holes but I am loosing less balls each time I play.

I even ended with a birdie on the 18th which was astonishing.

Always nice to finish with a chat in the bar.

Tests your skills

Smooth greens, many are undulating. Variety of holes to play such as over water, uphill, downhill. Love the 18th. Good clubhouse but a poor sausage sandwich!

Golf

The course was in very good condition especially the greens - it was busy but we got round in 3.5 hours with very little waiting time

Interesting course

Lovely traditional stone clubhouse. Didn’t eat there ourselves but many others were eating. Popular with societies and social group golfers so quite busy on the Friday and also very slow play. The course was quite short but there were many doglegs and strategically placed bunkers to keep you on your toes. Some very nice holes to test your golf but overall nothing too challenging for the average golfer. Would really have appreciated some signposts to the next tee especially to the 12th and 16th. Also watch out for flying balls on the 3rd fairway from the driving range. Enjoyed the round but probably not worth the money. L

Nice course, could do with a map

Well maintained course that's nice to play on, but as a new player here I could have done with a map, but probably shop only had scorecards. Made playing a tad tentative as didn't know where the greens or hazards were half of the time, but other than that's can't complain

COOKRIDGE HALL

The layout is good .Water comes into play a good deal. Unfortunatly we had a slow 4 ball in front of us ,and they were not very good players ,. They didnt call us through ,so we had to wait ,and it backed up behind . It is a well looked after course and the greens were excellent. The closing hole is really good

Classic Cookridge

Our second stop on our three day golf trip.

An expansive course that would be good for corporate events.

Well prepared course, good fairways and greens, tidy well maintained tee boxes. For me the most memorable holes were the sixth, a par three over a lake and the last hole, a short par four finishing by the side of a lake in front of the clubhouse.

Tasty food and drink on the terrace overlooking the eighteenth after the round.

There is a driving range on site but we did not use it.
