Course is amazing but stuck behind 2 gentleman who would not let us through waiting on every hole which is a joke should have Marshall going round to avoid problems like this as it really spoilt my game but the course is fantastic and will definitely play again

Course was in good condition for time of year, few tees levels closed off and mats on par 3 tees, but dry. Greens excellent. I was solo but even behind a fair few seniors 4 balls I was round in 4 hours. Really enjoyable wander around great grounds. Really good value too. Guy in pro shop chatty and steered me in the right direction without any prompting.

Good course nice layout. Typical al of Cheshire courses tending to be a it muddy. Some challenging holes, but overall worth a visit in spring or summer.

Course is great but staff in pro shop were both clueless and not very polite or accommodating.

We booked a hot deal last minute.

Course was in fantastic condition, as it was also Captains day.

Couldn’t fault the course at all it was in as good condition as I’ve ever played it. And it was a real challenge too.

I’ve not played it in summer for about 14 years. The Course is maturing lovely and it’s a real test of golf.

Reccomended if you are a low handicapper or want your card to be like a good darts score.

Review wasn’t fab as it’s the hottest day of the year on a 4;45 course and the half way house is closed so no water or refreshments in 30 degree heat

It’s a fantastic course that offers plenty of challenges—fairway bunkers, water hazards, and sloping fairways keep you on your toes. The greens are well protected, and it’s a fairly long track, especially if you’re teeing off from the 148 or 151 tee boxes.

The fairways are generous, but the rough is unforgiving, and many holes have out-of-bounds areas. It’s a true test that gives you an honest reflection of your handicap.

Course in pristine condition - always. Tough course so played a good few shots over my handicap ..

But still very enjoyable 👍👍

This was our first time at the course and based on the course, we would be back at the drop of a hat. The fairways and green were in great condition and the challenge in each hole was brilliant for good and bad golfer alike.

Our only grumble/complaint that would make us not recommend this course again, is that there was a corporate day on in the morning (we tee'd off at 12:50pm). Whilst any slower players was not a problem for us, as we were enjoying a great course on a day off from work, the members group of 3 directly behind us, partially ruined the experience due to them constantly trying to pressure our fourball, including walking in front of us, albeit to the left, whilst we were trying to drive to see if it was us holding them up or the groups ahead. We had a weaker golfer in our group who struggled to retain confidence to play on with the added, unwanted pressure.

I would recommend the course again as long as you don't get booked in front of the same group of members as this time.

Cracking course, but the pace of play was a disgrace.

6.5 hours for a round of 18 in a buggy!!!!!!!

Never been so angry.

Lovely golf course! Only let down was pace of play. But there was a seniors comp on. So we stoped of for a beer before starting the 10th. The. Had no problems at all.

Played this course a lot over the past couple of years and love it.

At the moment though the greens are poor, not sure why they are so patchy and long.

Fairways were the same, bunkers very inconsistent with sand levels varying a lot though out the course.

Drink in the bar after (two pints of larger and a Guinness) was over £20. Although for our southern friends this may be ok, but we’re just outside Crewe.

After all the above, I will be back and hopefully this was just earlier season blues.
