Fairways was the length of the rough, greens well kept

Course was in terrible condition the fact there charging £30 a round is laughable, grass wasn’t cut and condition of course was poor will not return

Some nets and a putting green to warm up and a small pro shop with a pleasant chap inside, decent start. The front nine is repetitive with a series of fairly straight par 4s all around the same length or that’s how it felt whereas the back nine is far more interesting. The problem for me was the fairways hadn’t been mowed and in spite of several months of dry weather follow a couple of weeks with some rain the course was pretty wet and mud balls were frequent. I wonder what this place would be like in the winter!

The back nine saved the day for me but probably wouldn’t make the trip again.

Very with interesting picturesque holes. Good facilities. Friendly locals. Let down by the current condition of the course which I suspect is due to the dry summer we’ve had. Latest rain has caused a growth spurt, fairways as a consequence are as long as the rough. Greens extremely slow and need a cut and roll. Ground staff need to get out on course asap and sort out the fairways and greens as it’s going to ruin the end of the season.

With the rain we’ve had, the course is playing so much better!

First time playing Malkins, good test of golf, greens were excellent. A little work required on T boxes and signage as they let the course down.

Narrow fairways lined with trees and deep rough, but very enjoyable.

Definately play their again

Played here lots of times. Course was very dry but expected due to weather. 3 greens seemed well watered but the other very dry and patchy. Still enjoyable and will still continue to play there. Club house really nice and hospitable.

Young course, very well run… Another year and this will be a “don’t miss” course for your calendar…

Facilities on site are perfect for families and golfers. Course had a bit of everything. Would 100% play Shaun

Played here for the first time and enjoyed it. The course looks well maintained especially the greens. Friendly staff and nice place have drink afterwards. Will definitely be going back again.

The ‘new’ owners have put a lot of money and effort into making the complex a real treat, from friendly club bar/diner to restoring what had become a tired, tatty course into a well manicured, fair challenge. Greens are now magnificent and run true whilst being fairly receptive. Thoroughly enjoyable round: look forward to playing again soon!

Played Malkins for the first time and overall the condition and course were good and great value for money. It's evident that money and time is being spent and in time will reap the rewards. Only downside was pace of play was exceptionally poor and 2 young lads just unfortunately spoilt the day and even the marshall agreed. Ended up joining a lovely couple called Alice and Chris which made the day end much more enjoyable

Drainage around holes 13/14 i think it was we stopped play here because didn't think it was value for the money ,

So not played here since June 2022, so thought I'd book it and give it another try, was not disappointed, greens were a bit slow ( recently dressed) but otherwise malkins bank is back on our regular calendar, visually loads of hard work and effort has go into improving the coarse and facilities, well done to everyone involved.

Would recommend a round here to anyone, keep up the good work, hopefully see you all soon 👍

Played here many times at this course. Great course ,gets quite wet in winter but now is drying out nicely. Just needs a few things sorting like more bins on tees and half off the tees ball cleaners are empty of water and dome have none at all. Overall a fair price for the course.

Had a nice round at Malkins Bank. Greens not in great shape, but not surprising considering the weather over the past month or so and so am sure things will improve throughout the summer. Good value for money and it was not that busy which was surprising for a bank holiday Monday.

First time at Malkins Bank GC, nice course, really enjoyed it, good layout & condition. Would recommend & play again.

Ive played this course before. It has new owners from a few months ago and you can see a level of investment already. The course was in better condition. At this time of year it should be good, its previously struggled when the summer hits and the heat dries out the ground.

Course is beginning to look really good under new ownership. Owner and staff are super friendly. Looking forward to playing there again.
