The Quarry Golf Course

Awesome course, had a great time playing, will definitely be back!

First off- my friends and I call this the tourists’ course because almost everytime we play there we’re get paired up with some folks visiting. That was the only thing that slowed us down; getting paired with an elderly couple who were not good at golf which extended our round and kept us way off of our pace.

But we did not complain. My friend and I are over 60 as well and well.. we just are fast players.

With that in mind, we never had to wait on any group that was ahead of us. The tee boxes, fairways, rough, and even the greens were in great condition , I will say however that the sand was not consistent. The first two bunkers I found myself in were made of good sand. However my friend was ina third bunker behind a green and that sand was so hard his shoes barely made marks in it.

The greens rolled nicely but maybe it was due to the weather the back nine greens rolled slower than the front nine. Once you adjust, you’ll be fine.

I play well on this course and this round was no different. Even when my shot was out of position, there were good sight lines to the flag.

The par 3s are challenging and even though this plays like a shorter course, it feels like a fair contest. As long as I can afford to play here, I will be back. I will say their price per round has gone way up since their renovation so that is why this was my first round since their revised greens.

Got a great deal on Golfnow, I had to get out earlier so I could catch a flight and they were 100% OK with that, made it easy to play, fun course, back 9 in the quarry is amazing, very good service and my only regret is that I could not get a meal as the place we packed for lunch with local business folks who clearly know a good place.

The Quarry feels like it's two separate 9-hole courses: the front being a fun links style course with a great variety of holes, and the back being incredibly beautiful and fun.

Pace was great this day.

Conditions were excellent. I guess they recently renovated their greens... they're great. Bunkers were well kept too.

Staff was very helpful, and the starter did a great job managing the first tee.

I wouldn't consider this course walkable (the 9th green and 10th tee are a considerable distance apart).

Shout out to the staff totally 1st class, from check in to check out. Love the crew!

Been trying to play this course for years and finally got a chance. The layout is unbelievable and has really cool views. I think this is the first time where I've played a course where you can see every hole on the back 9 down in the Quarry. This past summer they redid the greens and they were fast and firm but fun! I want to play again.

Had a great time playing here. Course was in great shape. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Fun and challenging course! Pace of play was great until the last 4 holes when we caught the tail end of a tournament and disrupted the momentum. I would play again and highly recommend.

The set up of the course is very nice. Definitely a must play if you are visiting San Antonio..

A majestic and challenging course on both a visual level as well as mental; however very fair!

You would be remiss not trying this out for yourself.

I played the golf course before a decade ago. They've done a good job keeping up the greens are reasonable condition as are the fairways more over the staff are very down to earth, friendly and helpful

One of my favorite courses. Back nine is postcard worthy.

Course is in very good condition, greens are rolling pretty good, great layout of course..pace of play..little slow, nevertheless, very good course, with a great deal of challenges!
