A gem of a course

If you are in the area I would highly recommend far grange

Especially in the summer, tee boxes, fairways and greens in beautiful condition , and 3 holes by the sea, just breathtaking and for the price it’s a gem.

Course

First time I've played here for a few years. Went round on my own and played 2 balls. Didn't feel rushed and still went round in just over 3 hours. Rough was manageable and fairways had some good run on them. Greens were a little slow for my liking, overall very content

Excellent value for money

First time playing here and I wasn’t disappointed. The course has a great layout and some challenging holes. A great course for beginners with nice and wide fairways. It can be a little bit muddy in some places but that is understandable with the recent rainfall we have had.

The views you get especially along the back 9 are fantastic with views all the way across Bridlington bay.

The staff were very friendly and the guy in the pro shop was very helpful.

For only £12 I paid on here I was more than pleased and would happily pay double that to play here again.

2 colleagues returning to golf today

Stayed in a caravan nearby and encouraged 2 friends to get their clubs out- one needing a knee replacement took a buggy out for £22 as well as paying £22 each for the round- which was booked directly with the pro shop. I checked with GN for the timing and it was cheaper there!

So friends tried the limited driving range- which you are only allowed 7 onwards since the length is only 175 yards. They warmed up- with 1 never playing golf for 25 years.

There is a putting green, a well stocked pro shop and staff were nice enough.

We tee'd off on time and proceeded to blow the cobwebs away- there are many dog-legs on this course so fun. Also quite a few water obstacles which are like a magnet! It was interesting to see the effect of coastal erosion on the 12th & 13th holes- quite severe!

If you went off the fairways the grass was somewhat higher and immediately slowed the balls progress forward. Fairways were good though and the Greens were very good ran slightly fast- probably due to the warm September.

The course was very good and highly recommended.

It was on the 17th that I achieved two firsts, an Eagle due to achieving a hole in one on the Par 3. Amazing feeling after nearly 3 years of playing golf!

We had a nice cool beer in the clubhouse which was quiet compared to earlier in the morning- but nice staff and clubhouse,

We will be back when I am in the area to encourage friends to play.
