Twilight in the forest
The course was in great condition considering the recent rain.
The greens were still firm and quite quick.
The rest of the course was firm with a couple of boggy patches.
Overall a very enjoyable round.
Great casual round
Lovely local course here. Great clubhouse and driving range.
Always in pretty decent condition and some nice holes.
Good little course
Good little course, great for beginners and intermediates. Amazing facilities i.e. bar, restaurant and pro shop.
Short but fun
On the short side, but quite a fun course. A few mid to long holes. Well maintained, pace good.
Golf with the Nephews
The play was really slow - 4 ball in front were generally poor players. The tee boxes were in a very bad state. The greens were great.
In fairness, we are in a virtual drought, so the fairways weren't great. That said - there is much room for TLC.
The Pro-shop was impressive and change rooms were clean, modern and neat.
It's a good course for high handicappers - wouldn't work for my more fastidious golfing mates.
Social
Gentle course to easy back into season, improved since last played. Only down side is a lot of areas fenced off so a walk to your ball and have to take several clubs as you can’t see how your ball lies
Lovely first game of the year
Got a good deal on green fees. Sun was shining. Played off mats, but they were good condition and easy to use. Greens had been tined so sandy and full of holes, therefore not easy to putt. Some bare areas on some fairways, but nothing to complain about.
Main complaint was the bar stopped selling food at 3pm (we walked in at 3.02 to be told nothing could be done. Very disappointed with that after a lovely round. No food between 3pm and 5pm - seems silly when they are always busy at this time.
Always a nice arvo stroll round good practice course
Worth playing
It’s a bit of a pitch and putt, I didn’t take my driver out, most other golfers can. It’s a good course given the limited space, hence par 67, will happily return, especially when the temp tees are taken away, well worth a visit.
Worth playing
The ground staff have been busy doing ground work the greens were small and quick the fairways in places had very little grass and after all the wet weather a few weeks earlier the course was good, will be going back in the summer to play again
I arrived a little late for my tee time. The member of staff was very friendly and reassured me that it would be no problem and I could go straight to the first tee. Overall I enjoyed the course.
Very Slow play at times
Overall great experience on a well kept course. Staff in the club shop were friendly.
Only criticism was the slow play and refusal to allow us to play through.
A good course
Quite a short flat course. Trolleys were seriously confined to paths by small fences. A good experience overall
The course is tricky but a good challenge.
This is the second time I have played the course,
And I have to say the course is in immaculate condition a big shout out to the green keepers.
The pro shop is fully stocked with everything for the golfers of all ages and standard.
Very helpful staff in the pro shop and Harley is all ways happy to talk to you.
Great work all at the golf club.
I can highly recommend this course and facilities included the driving range experience.
Hope to see you all soon Gary.
Not a massive course but a good size to play for £20.00 , greens were mostly good condition, would play again.
What a day
Got my first hole in one on hole 5, so it would be wrong of me to give anything less than a 5* review
Great little course but not trolley friendly
I had a blast at Ferndown Forest Golf Club! The course was in great shape and offered a good amount of challenge. The narrow fairways definitely kept things interesting. The only thing I found frustrating was the no-trolley zone near the greens. Made it a bit of a hassle when I had to grab an Uber to change clubs haha. But all in all, still had a really good time on the course and will absolutely be back, albeit with a stand bag next time!
