Crane Valley Golf Club - Valley Course

Course in great condtion, fairway playing well, greens well maintained. Challenging course, rough can be unforgiving. I look forward to playing again.

For this sort of money I think the course was in excellent condition with consistent greens and fairways. Great clubhouse and lovely sun Terrace for a beer afterwards as well. Great value and thoroughly enjoyable. We were a four ball and played in exactly 4 hours. All the staff there were very friendly and helpful as well.

I am a high handicapper, this course for me was challenging, but extremely enjoyable. Have played a few courses around the area and this is definitely a favourite from the 1st to the 18th. Each hole gives an element of difficulty but also an ease of being a little forgiving. Some of the bunkers are really hard to master but this gave me the sense of achievement when I was able to overcome them.

The only downside of my experience was the pylons and their cables, I hit one on the twelfth, the friend I was going around with also hit a cable a bit later on.

I must thank the staff their as well, who were very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend this club to anyone, no mater their ability.

Lovely course and in pretty good condition although a bit boggy in places but only to be expected after the rains we’ve had. They were working on first hole and we had to start on second and could play first at the end as workers would be finished by time we got back. Didn’t play first as seemed a pain to have to play away from clubhouse then walk back. Disappointed that bar had closed when we got back in and it wasn’t that late- about 5.30

Great Course, the perfect day

Pace was a bit slow with 4 groups of 4 ahead

Good course in good condition considering the time of year. The only let down was the pace of play, several slow 4 balls and even one 5 ball refusing to let faster groups through. Round lasted 4 and 1/2 hours which meant we finished the 18th in the dark. This isn’t the first time this has happened here, definitely has a pace of play issue.

A nice interesting course and good value for money, played for just under £20. Par 4’s are relatively short but you have to think carefully about position off tee. Greens in good condition,very large so you can be left with quite a few long putts. Staff friendly and helpful

Brilliant course, greenskeepers doing a great job despite all the dry weather

We thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf although we had greens that had been recently worked on and not at their truest! Understand need to do maintenance, we were just unfortunate,

The 3 of us enjoyed the round of golf, unfortunately for us the greens had had some work done on them, so they were difficult to gauge, totally expected, as course work needs to be done,hopefully next time they will be at their best.but overall a nice way to enjoy 4 hours in the fresh air

Great course to play very clean and tidy with a great club house and staff, course was in good condition but the greens had just been aerated so was hard to get a solid read on them other than that was lovely, pace of play was extremely slow though had a group of 3 ahead then a group of two and another group of three so was a slow Sunday. Altogether was a great experience would recommend to anyone to try the course and will be playing again.

I have played Crane since it opened 32? Odd years ago and it is still my favourite pay and play course.

It has plenty of room for big hitters or those who like to be friendly and spread the shots around adjoining fairways and get back in line relatively easily.

Golfers of all styles and abilities will enjoy it as we did last week particularly the last three holes and culminating in happy golfers getting par on the last green.

Green keepers have done a Stirling job after required maintenance the greens and fairways are excellent and challenging with the recent rain adding to the equation. Staff helpful and friendly and buggies available and fun to use! 19th hole allows us to intimidate those finishing as they are overlooked from the patio but the beer and cider is cold and the staff and food are warm and friendly. Lovely quiet location. Pro was very welcoming and informative. Fairly straightforward layout with

quite wide fairways. A few water hazards and greens in superb, quick condition. Nice clubhouse and catering was available until quite late.
