Parley Golf Centre

First time playing this course even though it’s my local. I was impressed that even with the hot weather the fairways were still soft! Greens in prime condition. I’m now going to take up membership here as it’s a great beginner course with an excellent practice area.

Food was really good value for money after and the staff were great.

It was a real treat to play at Parley. The fairways were in excellent condition, the greens a little bumpy but all in all it was very enjoyable.

The staff in particular were super helpful and friendly and the lunch was delicious.

A straightforward 9 hole course that you go around twice. Easy enough for relative beginners but also a comfortable round for the more able. Two lots of tees for each hole give the 18 holes but basically you around going around the same 9 hole course twice.

Good off course facilities including range and practice area. Also, nice cafe/bar with friendly staff

For a cheap round of golf in December, this does the job. Playable and a decent if short layout.

The down side is it is so busy, and very slow on the course.

The holes were good and very forgiving for players not yet too accurate with their long game.

The general conditions of fairways and greens was excelent, however this course does fall down on the signage, distance and conditions of access between green and tee. Be prepared for extra mileage over and above the course yardage.

Overall the course was very well received and maintained, Staff could do with being more friendly & polite. Very bad Customer Service

I booked the course as my son was coming down from the Midlands to visit, He’s recently took up golf and wanted to get a game in while he was here. As I’ve recently moved to the area I haven’t played any courses here so I asked my neighbour where would be good to go, he said Parley was a nice course so with that booked up. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, however unfortunately the course was extremely busy and also had a stag do going round which didn’t help as they was holding everyone up not letting them through, it’s a 9 hole course with two different tee positions, when we got back to the first hole to play tee number two effectively the 10th hole the stag do was on the first tee playing their first hole, by the time we managed to tee off when we got to the next hole the stag do was still on the tee, this led to another two groups to catch us up and stand on the tee with me and my lad, at this point we decided we was going to walk off and give up. The lady in the shop was very nice and apologetic, and very kindly gave us a voucher to play the course again on another day. When I do book this again I will play midweek, I wouldn’t play there of a weekend as there was another lady in the shop who said this is what it’s like of a weekend, wasn’t enjoyable at all, hopefully next time it will be a better experience.

Despite all of the rain we've had locally in the day prior to our round, the course was in fantastic condition and all the holes were open, just the one tee box that you couldn't get to due to an overflown pond. Excellent day!

Course has a few challenging holes but very enjoyable round. Good practice area and nice greens on the course. 9 Hole course that has 2 tee off points on each hole so fine to play 18 off. Shame it smells on the 4th and 5th holes in particular but nothing they can do about this so should not go against the course. Was very busy on the day of visit but was a good speed of play from players on the course. Will be back, particularly enjoyed the 3rd and 7th holes.
