Varied Interesting Course
The course was in excellent condition. The greens were some of the best I've ever played on. This is a thinkers course. Position off the tee is key, blasting a driver on every hole is not the order of the day. A nice contrast to the original Hawkstone Park course.
Friendly golf
Course was very busy lots of 4 balls but it was sunday and glorious sunshine , so was not in a rush
The course was outstanding and the locals very friendly as was the club pro
A great afternoon for golf
Course is a great layout, greens fast and true, fairways plenty of run. We played late Sunday afternoon and had the course to ourselves.

Played old last weekend and Championship this weekend, both excellent and thoroughly enjoyable

Saturday 1st of may. First time of playing this course, the championship course. A1 condition, couldn’t fault this place. Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing there again very soon
The course to ourselves (almost)
A great round which only took 2.75 hours! We counted only 6 other people on the course!
Greens a little slow and the tees were a little “ropey”, but they were the only complaint. Beautiful setting!
Fantastic Hidden Gem
Absolutely fantastic golf course!!!
Greens were phenomenal, ran pure and fast. Some great holes with lots of character. Friendly staff and good food at the clubhouse. Would recommend strongly!
Great course in fabulous condition
Really enjoyed our visit. Turned up early and as we were first in the tee we were able to tee off half an hour earlier than out allotted time.
Course was in great shape and the greens were perfect.
Initial welcome was somewhat lacking as looking about for someone in pro shop. I asked a lady who had been cleaning and eventually restocking the fridge in the pro shop when someone was in, and she attended to me. That said it must have been obvious I was looking for assistance and a “good morning” would have been a good starting point. Once I had engaged all was fine though and off we went.
Rally enjoyed a great round in great weather. Some really interesting holes and quite challenging, bit on the whole wide enough to open the shoulders a bit.
Returning to the new, very well appointed, catering area / club house, we were met by a very friendly chap who sat us outside on the terrace, which was glorious.
Lunch was very good and they were flexible enough to serve something from the breakfast menu after midday.
Definitely recommend a visit and a round at this course and we will be back.
Good day
Went with my 19 and 21 year old. I not played the championship course before. Course was in great condition and greens were soft but great. Played to my handicap, which was great considering I’ve not played for a while due lockdown. I will go back again, it was really enjoyable.
The weather helped!
The course was in immaculate condition with newly mown fairways and greens. We only saw 3 other groups on the course! The sun shone and despite a few lost balls on the 10th it was a great day.
Excellent parkland course
First time on the Championship course. Beautifully laid out in rolling woodland with plenty of interesting holes. Course in great condition and virtually empty when we played it. Very helpful staff and excellent facilities.
Excellent
First game after lockdown. Course was well maintained and not to busy which was a surprise. Played the Championship course which had some challenging holes for a realtive beginner. But will definitely be going back. To try the Hawkstone course
The course layout
The course layout is the best I’ve played for a very long time. Couldn’t fault the staff and is a well looked after course. Can’t wait to come back and play the course again.
