A Good Friday
Good to be back out on the course, which was generally in good condition. Fully booked yet pace of play was good. Staff and other golfers were helpful and friendly. Golf a little rusty after the layoff, but good company made for a very enjoyable day. Recommended and we’ll be back.
Excellent round of golf post lockdown
A very good round of golf in the sun, only negative point is the back 9 holes was just a bit soft and boggy, played this course and the old course previously and enjoyed it every time. It was nice to get the clubs out again, the weather made it all the better
Society Day at Hawkstone Park
Booked through golf now. Due to the pandemic no amenities were available to us but that was to be expected. Course was in very good condition considering thats the first time it's been played on in a long while. Greens a bit slower than normal but in general everything was wonderful as usual.
We really enjoy both the courses here and will definitely be returning
the course has a great layout
played the hawkston course with 15 temporary greens and temperary tees but despite this was a good course to play the greens were not bad to put on and course was still quite firm under foot. didn't see any staff at 9am so no coffee had to start straight away
Too wet
The course was too wet, we only managed 11 holes but paid £26 each.....terrible
Course muddy in parts but greens were great
Overall it was good and nice to get out, greens very good for time of year, muddy in places but have had so much rain of late.
Course let itself down with so much litter and empty.beer bottles on most of the tees, (bins been taken away because of covid) even McDonald coffee cups and wrappers, looked liked they had been there a few days, why on earth one of the green staff had not nipped round and picked all this up, no excuse because I saw quite a few driving round
Lovely autumn round
Took my son for a game the last day before lockdown we expected the course to be busy but the three slow for balls in front of us with no one calling us through made the round a little slow
After being let down by my playing partener at the last minute, who's tee time I'd payed for!!.......Only to play at Hawkestone on my own,and "STUCK"!!! behind a 4ball all the way round the course, until they called me through on the 14th hole!!!...I had a great day thanks!!!!
I WILL NOT BE BACK AT HAWKESTONE AGAIN!!!!
Kind Regards,Paul Tolley
Stunning setting
Course in lovely condition, stunning views and a good test of golf. New clubhouse a welcome retreat after a very enjoyable day
Fantastic course
Hawkstone championship is a wonderful course. Some challenging holes made interesting by the placement of bunkers, trees, ponds. Not busy when we played so chance to enjoy at a good pace. 2 of us played the course in 3 hours 50 mins. Greens were quite fast and picking the right clubs is paramount on the fairways. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and I will certainly play this course again.
This course is worth playing
played this course with a friend. Course is well layed out some great views on some tees. Started right on time. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was at the last minute we decided to rent a buggy which turned out to be quite expensive. But overall a great days golf
Excellent
Beautiful golf course, a treat to play. Condition is immaculate and a fair test of all abilities
