Great course, great price, will definitely play again but one thing they could seriously improve is the signage to the next Tee box as it was very confusing on a few of the holes
Lovely friendly course
Friendly staff and ideal course for players that are new to the game and those that are not long hitters. Some of the rough is very long, so you need to be quite acurate.
Large car park, practice green and bunker and small driving range.
frienly shop and bar staff
Good golf
Good golf but a few 4 balls causing slow play other then that great course
Reasonably priced, great greens
Great short course, reasonably priced with very good greens.
Course layout snakes back and forth but signposted well.
Good driving range tucked into the trees by the first tee.
Great course, good price
Lovely course good value and nice clubhouse
Overpriced
Used to be £22-24 I got charged £31. Way too much considering there are no par 5’s (the 18th is reachable with a driver and wedge for me) and greens are rubbish
Decent test
Nice little course and reasonably priced. Quite tight and not a lot of need for the driver. Pace of play can be quite slow at times but fun track to play.
Staff phone manner and in person manners are vile
Average public course, well kept but staff especially when booking green tees absolutely disgrace make you think they’ll doing you a favour. The foreign woman is so rude it’s almost comical. Also very strange no food on Mondays? Bird Hills a much friendlier and better experience we have found.
Great value for money,I am a 10 handicap and found this a good challenge to plot your way around, driver only used twice during the whole round.Fairways a little burnt but expected due to current run of weather, greens obviously recently spiked and sanded but still run.Back nine we found the greens a little slower and a few with some damage but overall excellent value for the money with excellent food after the round.
Nice short course and friendly staff
The only issue is the waiting at each T. At one time on the back 9 there were 2 three balls, 1 2 ball and 1 4 ball all on the same hole. I think they need to space out the T off times. I think it got worse throughout the day went on. So I’d recommend an early T off time, we T’ed off at around 9. If it wasn’t for the waiting I would play again
Nice condition
The course in in nice condition, the greens were very good, we played early so pace of play not a problem, the course is fairly tight so accurate tee shots important, looking like the 8th green is being moved with additional water hazard I'd like to see what I presume was once a pond on the 18th re introduced
Course management
A short course at just over 5000 yards , but excellent for improving course management skills.
Its a lovely little course that is excellently signposted , staff are excellent, especially the lady from Michigan in the pro shop, she was so helpful and so kind. A breath of fresh air as most places tend to be snobby to newcomers. Be warned, the reviews are correct, The Pace Of Play Is Shocking, but I was taking my time so didn't bother me. My only regret is its in Slough so too far for me to be a course I'd visit often to improve on skills, but excellent for a one off. Give it a try, definitely worth a go.
