Huntswood Golf Club

Nice course in good condition. Greens playing nicely and course was well drained after a very wet spring. Enjoyable.

Always find this course , well maintained or being well maintained, however the round was a bit spoiled by three older members of the club in two buggies , who held up the course by poor parking , stopping in front of the greens in the buggies after putting out to mark score cards etc.

Shame really as its a nice club, if only some members would be more considerate of other players

First time played here but definitely will play there again we’ll set out course enjoyed it there

Very wet weather over a period of weeks had flooded most local courses. Huntswood was one of very few still open:

Tee boxes were excellent. The fairways were average but playable considering. Greens were very good and an especially good pace for winter, but miss them, even by a few feet, and the surrounds were invariably tufts of grass around bare mud.

But, pro shop closed, no warm up net, rudimentary range but no baskets of balls. Course layout is a, frequently undirected, maze.

There's literally one thing I can complain about and it's the pace of play.. horrific

we got to the 1st tee on time and there was about 3 groups waiting and it didn't get any better as the round went on

Other than that everything else was awesome 👌

This is a good challenging course with some great features. Played in a Saturday morning although a few hold ups in some tees the pace of play was good. The greens are in good condition and the fairways are a good standard

I have played this course a lot but sadly the take the money approach and lack of attention to customer service is now making it an utter disgrace. Why? Tee times are not kept to, dress code is not monitored or managed, no-one monitors the course and slow play is the norm. Yesterday because of the ridiculously slow play of a four ball and a three ball with a buggy!!! There was a 25 minutes wait time on some tees. Utterly unacceptable. What will change? Nothing!!!! Please don’t play here!

Nice location and friendly staff, greens are in good condition, considering the hot summer we’ve had. Slow/ medium pace with not much movement. A short course, quite narrow fairways, lots of internal out of bounds, so being accurate is more important than distance. Tees and greens are close together and quite a bit of crossing other fairways. I have played mostly late afternoon’s so quiet and with reduced fees makes it good value.

7 minute tee times. Started 25 minutes late and stuck behind a 4 ball of members who wouldn’t let us 2 ball play through. Over 4 hours for a tiny course.

The course is in a horrible condition. The only green spots you will see on the entire course are the greens and the Tee boxes. Don’t bother renting the clubs at this place. The fairways are completely dry and rock hard

Great course for beginners like me. Three holes on way in were challenging enough.

Great little course which gives you a lot of risk reward short par 4s. Rough is tough but it should be on such a short course. Only negative was the greens were very slow as they hadn’t been cut

Waiting to tee off on every hole as well as on the fairway was extremely frustrating and not an experience I would want to repeat. The greens were very slow due to length of the grass and the long grass in the rough made it difficult to find balls that just strayed from the fairway. The course seems to have gone downhill in the last couple of years which is a shame.
