Challenging course

This a short course with most of the holes driveable off the tee but is still tactically challenging with strategic positioning of bunkers and hazards. The course is very well managed with immaculate greens and excellent friendly staff.

Always good round

The quality of the course is pretty good considering the very hard conditions with the lack of rain.

I played late in the afternoon so the course was very dry and hard with balls bouncing off the greens and they were lightning quick so was very challenging around the greens and the short par 3s.

Good thing is the ball rolled on the fairways so any shots the where short would roll up regardless.

Always fantastic value but because of that is very busy but was very slow. A four and a half hour round on a Saturday afternoon

Very well kept

Great little course. Very very short but brilliantly kept. Not the most interesting layout but still nice place to play.

Great course, but pace was very slow

A short course but lots of interesting holes and was in very good condition- particularly the greens. The only downside was that the pace was very slow- totalled up well over an hour of waiting time during the course.

Hurtmore

Ended up playing just nine holes due to a terribly slow pace of play. Conditions were fine, but no course attendants left solos clogging up the course at a busy time

Short, compact Peter Alliss designed course

Best feature being short and compact with many drivable Par 4's but with only one Par 5 turns it into it's worst feature as the super slow rate of play ruined what should have been a decent experience but can't say we weren't warned by other reviewers.

Hurtmore GC - Surrey - Work required to improve the course

Attention is required to the large ruts on the golf course between holes that require filling in and reseeding.

The greens have been better but this is probably due to the time of year.

Lovely Course But Lack Of Marshalls

I played Hurtmore Golf Course today, and the layout and upkeep were genuinely impressive—well-designed and in great condition. However, the pace of play was a real drawback; it was incredibly slow. I contacted the clubhouse to request a marshal to help move things along, only to learn none were available. It’s a shame that such a strong course was let down by poor flow management. I’d recommend it for the quality, but the sluggish pace was a frustration.
