Good for £20

Played 3pm onwards and would say it’s worth it, wouldn’t pay £30. Lots of leaves around which make it hard to find your ball if you put it even slightly off the fairway. The greens however, were kept very nicely and there’s some good challenging sections to them.

Good value

Great value at £20 per round. Course was in a bit scappy condition - tees etc. Greens were pretty slow. Nice enough layout with some challenging holes. Pretty hilly so it would have been good to hire a golf cart. Disappointing to be told that was not possible as too late, and then see a number of carts on the course.

Lovely course in great condition

As always nice weather makes the round that much better, the course was in great condition.

The people were very friendly and welcoming.

Being a Monday it was quieter than expected but that just added to the enjoyment of the round and surroundings.

The course is quite hilly but not too steep.

Overall the holes are challenging but not impossibly difficult.

Will definitely play there again if I am in the area.

Hidden Gem

Played Kingsthorpe on a lovely sunny day, it looks a tight course from most of the tees but most of them open up at around 150m ( off the yellows) tees and fairways in good/ great condition. The greens need a bit of work as they were slow and slightly bumpy. Better than some I’ve played recently.

Pro shop was small but packed with stuff. The staff very friendly. Unfortunately the clubhouse shuts early on a Monday hence the review mark. Disappointing as we finished at 16.30 and would have enjoyed a beverage in the sun!

Worth playing!

Pleasantly surprised

I was quite impressed, especially for the green fees. The first 10 or 11 holes especially . Holes 12-17 the greens weren't as good.

It's a short tight course, which makes it a challenge.

There is also a semi tame fox which came within 4 foot of us.

I have played a lot of courses in Northampton and thought Kingsthorpe was better than any of its neighbours in a similar price bracket.

Got boring

Played here for the 2nd time, and realised how little variation there is to the layout, par 4 after, par 4 after, par 4. Same hole one after another. Considering how wet it had been the conditions weren’t too bad, greens could have been better but due to rain I can’t complain about that part. Had a pretty decent day out, just a shame there isn’t more change to layout

Get a cab there, as there is no parking.

I like the course, however a number of the members rule the roost. The slow play jump in front at their will. I'm aware I'm a guest, but not a welcome one...

It was very boggy, but hey it's February.

Tight course but challenging in it's way.

Friendly fox was not there this time, I missed him....
