KP Club

Played on a Tuesday after booking with golf now. First time using golf now, so it was cheap enough that when my dad got tired after 9 holes, he didn’t feel bad about sitting in the clubhouse.

Great course, mostly off the actual tee boxes was fantastic. Great staff in the clubhouse, pro shop were keen to help out in making sure we weren’t playing at a busy time on the course.

All in all, great experience.

First time playing the KP, I'm on holiday in filey and this was the only course we could find that was open and operating a full 18 holes due the recent bad weather, that being said thought the course was in pretty good shape albeit abit muddy, temp greens could have been cut shorter but I'll let them off with due to wet conditions, the true greens were fantastic the wet didn't seem to have slowed them down to much I thought the pace was just right for my putting game. It's a challenging course with a few big par 5s (the 4th being over 600 yards). This is definitely on the list for the summer because I think I would be a truly fantastic round. Also for those golfers who might struggle abit with walking the KP is in my opinion a very flat course so ideal for those golfers.

Main complaint is that there is no telephone line or website to view course status. The course was quite wet and the club forced my friend to carry his clubs. We wouldn't have gone if we knew. When I checked two days before I was told it would be fully open. There was no rain in between. It is a good course and the greens were in excellent condition for the time of year. Most courses have a phone number to check the course status or at the very least a Web page. Easy to sort that!

Very nice course, held up a little with a three ball but not too bad really.

Course in great shape considering the recent rainfall, some wet patches on the greens and fairways but preferred lies helped.

I used to be a member here 15 years ago and enjoyed many rounds here. It was great to revisit and find that is still a beautiful course. The views across the Vale of York are stunning and combined with a testing layout, its very entertaining.

We have played a lot of courses this summer and this is the clear winner. Fabulous condition the greens are superb and offer a challenge to any level of player. Cost wise we have been getting deals at £22 - £27 here, for the quality and standard of the entire course this is superb value for money. If you’ve not tried this course yet you need to get on it, you won’t be disappointed, a five star review for a five star course.

Great course was really good condition greens were true and fantastic condition

Challenging holes and some long holes .fairways pretty good . Thick rough can be difficult to find ball on the edges of some holes . .Over all a course worth playing .The 18th up hill makes a hard par 4.

Although well booked before our tee off time, no slow play excellent day , unfortunately I had a bad round, that's golf

KP has fantastic facilities and the course plays brilliantly. Quick greens and well kept will definitely be back!

First time playing KP golf club recommended by people i know, was impressed how the course layout was, also the fact that members of staff were making sure to keep it in top condition and respected players who were teeing off by switching off the garden machinery until players headed further up to resume play. The club house staff were very friendly and welcoming also. Lovely views over looking Yorkshire. Overall a great experience, won't be shy to visit again very soon hopefully beat my personal best score. 115 not bad for a beginner!
