About
Greatwood is known for its white sand bunkers and impressive par 3s, three of which play right at or over 200 yards. The 1989 Carlton Gipson design features elevated tees and greens that sandwich plush fairways and are contoured with mounds.
The 434-yard par 4 hole 5 is one difficult par, featuring a fairways loaded with bunkers and involves water on the approach. No. 18 goes 576, yards. While the tee shot is fairly standard, the second shot must land short of a plateau and might involve a blind approach shot if placed too far to the left. The intimidating approach plays into a green surrounded by water on three sides.
Getting there : From Hwy. 59 south, turn left on Crab River Rd., then make a left onto the other side of Hwy. 59. Look for Greatwood Pkwy. and make another left when you get there.

Quality product.....
Worth the price we got with the golf now hot deal. Greens need work but rolled true at least. Bunkers have always been dirt so would like to see quality sand in them one day. Pace was good as we played as a 2 some on a saturday. Cart girl was on point as we saw her a lot and starter was polite and acomidatiing.

Not Worth The Money
There are a lot of other courses around the same price range that I'd rather play. Wildcat is very similar in price and much nicer.
Slow Round, but ok for the Money
Today was a long round. Course was in ok shape, but they have recently filled in bunkers. No one to keep the pace rolling, but all in all I’d play it again.
FAST FUN WALKING W CLUB & BALL
Yes, greens were top dressed, so what, are you playing scratch golf? Plus, greens will be even better in a couple of weeks!
With all the safety measures were in place, I felt safe and carts being well tended to follow each round. If you NEED A MENTAL HEALTH DAY, THEN, utilizing safe policies, please consider TX AG’s guidance regarding a walk w club & ball.
Greens are in very poor conditions. I asked when i made the reservation but they are not honest.
Don't go there, this is a $25 golf course right now.
Worth the money
Went for the first time and loved the course. Great layout, Really nice fairways/greens and beautiful scenery. Definitely will be back soon!
Empty Course
GolfNow had advised me that that had top dressed the greens. They had not. They are doing this on April 7.
Really bad tasting water on hole 12. I had to spit it out. Called pro shop. They did not express any concern.
Course was in good shape.
Staff
Great layout . Course is maintained and in good condition. Staff in the pro shop did not say anything. I said hello and he just looked at me. Not a good experience. I live nearby but I will go to other courses around .

Excellent layout, challenging and fast greens. If priced lower I will play it a lot more often!
Nice Course Southwest of Houston
For late winter conditions the course was in good shape. The layout makes the course both challenging and fun to play.

Definitely challenging course, with small greens and bunkers... But I really enjoyed the course....
