Lansdown Golf Club

Played today in beautiful weather, the course was in fantastic condition, greens were superb although very firm with the sunny weather from the last week. The course is kept so well, surroundings looking beautiful and green. Location is superb, the views on 14th are the best of any golf hole I’ve played. Terrific value at £30 on a weekend with a GN hot deal. Will definitely be back to play again.

Although windy the sun came out and the golf course is on a lovely plateau with well managed bunkers protecting most holes. The greens were good and true and there were fantastic views of scenic countryside from many of the tees.

The club is most welcoming to visitors with good facilities.

Having recently left Stockwood Vale Golf Club I was looking for a nearby course for a game. The GolfNow rate was great so I booked a round with my son-in-law. The weather was perfect considering the recent rain and snow. The course is quite narrow with tees near to greens in some cases. The damp ground conditions meant there were a number of temporary tees and a number of temporary greens, which spoiled things a little. The fairway grass seemed long but that was probably due to the ground being so wet.

The views from the course are fantastic.

Both of us thought it would be great to return for a round in the summer.

A warm welcome by staff before a cold and windy 18 holes.

Course was in great condition with a great lay out.

Will be recommending this course to friends.

We really enjoyed our round at Lansdown. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the beginning and the course was in great condition. We hit a few trees for which we apologise! Some of the views of the Cotswolds and beyond were wonderful, we’ll definitely play here again, thank you.

Played at short notice at the lansdown via a hot deal, £15 with booking fee. Good value , course in reasonably good nick considering season, pace was ok for me and two gents I was paired with, nice chaps who were also visitors. Fairly flat parkland course with a few interesting holes, needed to drive fairly straight on a few holes. Greens a little bobbly in places but all in all an enjoyable round

I played with my mum, who isn’t the best, so we were a bit slower.

We allowed two groups through…..who we didn’t even see when we were off the 2nd tee. They were very polite though, so no big deal.

The course is long and fairly wide on average, the only down side is that there’s not much elevation, so it’s all pretty flat.

Greens were ok, and if u go in the rough/edges, pretty much guaranteed a lost ball.

I’d play there again though, just to try and get my club selection right, and hopefully putt a bit better.

Solid golf course with some lovely holes with greats vistas. The Greens were in excellent condition and my only criticism is that the fairway was a little long and felt more like the first cut.

The scorecard had no map, most of the tees were temporary and without signs, and so we struggled to find our way around. One person came up to us to tell my son his trousers did not meet the dress code. But we still had a lovely time on a good course.

Fantastic course with a great variation of holes. Food in the club house however was awful. Would have been 5 stars otherwise

Well maintained. Good social distancing weather was fine but I know it can be difficult when the wind and rain gets up on this course as it stands alongside the highest horse racing course in England.

Voupl of tee boxes are looking rough slosh greens and rather straight overall. Still a great afternoon in the sun
