Very good course second time we've played it but considering the conditions the course played well the temporary greens were of a good standard and only 5 so not too bad. Last played in summer and then it was excellent
Wet Tuesday
Considering the amount of rain we have had the course was in great condition.
Did have some temporary greens but that didn’t affect how much we enjoyed the round.
This was reflected in the price
Definitely will return when the weather gets better
No greens
We was made aware before we started that some of the holes were on winter greens. This was more like 6 and the temporary greens were really quite a pathetic attempt. Was really just a flag stuck in the fairway. 11th hole was closed, was aloud to play 17 and 18 again to compensate but was still disappointing. The day was good as was more a social game with friends but in my opinion the course isn’t fit for scoring/competing at the minute. Real shame as it’s a lovely course.
Excellent course
Enjoyed the round. Disappointed with temps and one hole shut, but understand course maintenance. Will definitely play again.
Course playing nicely in late September
I played in what was almost October and found the course in good condition particularly the fairways. I was hardly slowed despite being on my own.
The greens were a little bobbly and sandy but considering the time of year they were respectable.
I did use the loo at the end of the round and found no loo roll in any cubicle in the public or member toilets except for one however overall it was great value for money.
I would recommend and I will be going back.
Superb venue
A varied and well laid out city course. Excellent venue for all golfers.
Great course
Coarse in great condition lovely greens would recommend
Excellent Course
First time here . The pro shop staff was very helpful and advised me when to tee off . The course played very well with some challenging holes . The only downside was the pair in front was not sticking to the Gollf etiquette. Not letting me play through and constantly playing more than 1 ball from fairway and then while on green re taking putts . All this while I was waiting on the tee and fairway respectively. Hope this was a one off . Will definitely be booking again
Good course shame about the weather
Just taken up golf as a hobby and this is a really well maintained course, found the course challenging and definitely wasn't helped by the weather but will return (fingers crossed for better weather) and review again, don't think the pictures show how wet the course was
Great Course
Played Lees Hall for the first time since November and is definitely a must visit, course is in great condition with well cut fairways helping you succeed from tee shots. Some of the greens have been hollow tined at the time of this review but are still running well. Will definitely be returning soon
Great course
After pouring with rain the previous 2 day the greens were very receptive fairways in great condition only down side standing water in most of the bunkers.
Nice layout a little hilly but this added to the course not just up and down so quite a few above or below feet shots to contend with which made it more interesting.
All staff and members freindly and helpful.
Would I play again yes most definitely
Cracking Value
Paid £16 for a round here midweek. The course is in fantastic nick, in particular the greens, not the quickest but very true. The pace of play was a bit iffy, a couple of members' fourballs holding up the course a touch, not unbearable and to be expected at 11:00 on a Wednesday. course layout is very pretty and makes good use of the hills to create risk/reward shots. Chap in the pro shop couldn't have been friendlier and gave some tips for a first time visitor. You really can't go wrong for this sort of money
Great quality course
I played here today for the first time and recived a warm welcome in the pro shop. The course was in amazing condition. The fairways and greens were immaculate. The front 9 eases you in gentle with some very open holes but then towards the turn things start to get interesting. The course is very hilly which allows for some stunning hole layouts. The back 9 I found particular tough as you gradually work you way back uphill towards the club house. The back 9 features some pretty long par 4s with unsighted shots off the tee and into the greens. Overall I would highly recommend this course, i will be looking forward to a return in the future but this time with an electric trolley to help out with the hills
