Good value for money fairways could do with cutting as hard to tell difference from rough to fairway

Had a good time at Lingfield. The fairways were extremely muddy, (not unexpected for the time of year), but this didn’t prevent an enjoyable round, with creative interpretations of pick & place and permitted ball cleaning. Greens were surprisingly slick and the layout is good, with a good variety of holes. Look forward to playing it again in the summer.

Most courses shut this weekend due to weather.

Nonetheless the course held up well.

Great course, value for money is an understatement.

Not a members club but a great course to visit and play.

The worst customer service in UK. DO NOT PLAY AT THIS COURSE. The marshal can come and tell us to speed up if we are slower than he thinks. But he cares of those people who played behind us and they are members. Why this matters? The person at the reception who is about early 50 years old man with a short hair is very rude. DO NOT PLAY AT THIS COURSE. We had paid for the green fee. Then he should treat everyone equally not come and disturb and destroy the whole mood. We just technically stopped playing from 16. Again, the worst service I have ever seen and experience in UK and whole world in my life. Plus, they should stop people walking around the course with their dog. Very very disturbing. Personally and genuinely telling everyone. Please do not play and spend any money on this course. Terrible. Not even worth giving one star.

Course was completely under-prepared - non-existent fairways, basically semi-rough everywhere, poor greens, unkempt bunkers. Course was completely empty, but no remedial work in evidence.

The greens were in good condition however all of the fairways were in playable and the course should of been shut due to this problem

Played the cuts in the summer - loved it. Played it in December - pointless! Should be closed can't stand up or walk due to muddy conditions. Avoid until weather improves

Some wet area's as would be expected this time of year and due to this fairways can't be mowed, but it was in good enough knick.

Very nice layout and a good challenge, will play again.

The drainage is non existent although the greens are ok the fairways and tees are in a shocking state last played here in 1998 and not coming back this century

Unfortunately Lingfield isn't the best draining course, however considering the amount of rain we've had recently (the range had a new water feature added since the last time I played!) the course and greens especially were in really good condition.

Was a really enjoyable round, pace of the greens were great considering how soft they were.

Quite a difficult course in the winter with minimal run out and tight fairways means it probably plays harder than it should. Good test during the winter months.
