Great for newbies
I am fairly new to golf and the Emerald course has been great for me to develop my game.
Great course, let down by the greens
Played this course a few times and has always been great value for money. The greens were a little disappointing, patchy and bumpy.
GREAT LAYOUT
TEE BOXES AND GREENS WERE TERRIBLE
EVEN PUTTING FROM 3/4 FEET WAS A LOTTERY
SUCH A SHAME AS COURSE COULD BE ONE OF THE BEST AROUND
Course was wet after heavy rain . Winter tee mats are a bit small . Staff in clubhouse and bars were great . Would definitely play again and great value at £11 per person
Excellent course conditions saying its February,Canton wait to go back and play from proper tees
hill valley
arrived twenty minutes before tee time staff very friendly had coffee before round. the course was in good condition considering the time of year greens good for time of year and in general everything was good enjoyed the round and will be back to play again
Great weekday deal
Very welcoming in pro shop
Got buggy for us straight away , no
Pressure on to hurry up
Course in excellent condition saying it’s november , greens good fairways still relatively dry. A bonus at this time of year
Tip - use a pink ball as there are millions of leaves
hill valley
course in good order greens good generally in in good all round condition slight downside was the amount of leaves around the course making your ball somewhat difficult to find .thats mother nature at this time of the year.all in all a good day had
Pace was shocking!
Fine course and good value at £13 on a ‘hot deal’ however pace was so poor we gave up after 9 holes and 2 hours 45!! Needs a Marshall out on the course checking play...especially on a busy Saturday - very disappointing!
Verr laaaddds
Great challenge on a lovely course given the extended dry weather. Staff really welcoming and some challenging holes
hill valley emerald
arrived 15 minutes before tee time proceeded to the putting area which was good. teed off on time and the round was very enjoyable the course was presented in excellent condition and the greens were fist class. credit must be given to the green staff who certainly know what they are doing.the saying proof is in the pudding certainly applies everything about the course was top notch and will be coming back.pleasure to play this very good course.
Very good value for money
Very well maintained course, and excellent value for money. Quite tight and challenging but overall excellent.
Great coarse, greens nice & fast & true. Stafff friendly & accommodating
Great value for money
Course in great condition, staff friendly and welcoming hope to play their again soon
Fantastic greens
Played the emerald course on Monday 22nd January 2018 and could not believe the fantastic condition of the greens for this time of year. All greens are in play with NO winter greens. The course is a credit to the grounds staff.
the course has variety
The course has a nice variety of drives and lengths. The greens are very well kept. the course is undulating and very attractive with lovely trees.
Bunkers?
This course gets an average rating for only one reason, the bunkers are quite simply in the worst condition imaginable. Everyone was either unraked or badly raked, filled with stones and gravel, rock hard and sprouting several tufts of grass. If you can't find a way to look after them chaps then for reasons sake just fill them in and have them as depressions in the fairways. Away from the bunkers the course is a real challenge, tight, long, tree lined and lots of water. You really need to think it through and it's well worth playing - but those bunkers!!! All in all it's a great shame.
