Great staff, average course
Good mix of hazards and fairway lengths for all abilities, however many of the greens are looking very tired (although ran true for the most part). I imagine the greens staff have their work cut out with the elevated site which is prone to the elements.
Pace of play on our visit was particularly annoying with a five to ten minute wait on each tee from the third green onwards and led to our game falling apart from lack of concentration (our failing, not the club). Decided to call it a day on the 12th and pack up.
Staff very friendly and welcoming, but found the course a little uninspiring. Would probably come back if there were deals, but not for what we paid.
Golf in the Tropics !
Played in very un-Cornwall weather - 27c and unbroken sunshine. Course has suffered due to the weather with some very brown and hard fairways. Also some of the greens aren't in great condition with many bare patches. Course layout is good with different hole layouts and it's quite hilly in parts which it doesn't look like when you set off.
Overall it has a the feel of a municipal course rather than a members club. For the price paid it was good value but a tier below a 'proper' golf course.
Mawgan Porth GC
Took my son to Mawgan Porth GC whilst on holiday for his first 18 hole round of golf. Receptionist was friendly and allowed us to get on and start playing.
Gentle start to the round with a nice par 3, with quick greens, once settle into the round better shots started to come and playing with or without wind into you was a good test. Good mix of holes and lengths. Greens were a little patchy in place, due to the weather, wind, disease but the ball still ran true on them.
Love the little pro tips on the little markers by the tee boxes, really helpful and a nice touch.
Good course and will definitely play again when back down in Kernow!
Poor green maintenance
As stated, greens need some serious attention. Practice area poorly maintained,. Pro shop staff member not very welcoming. Back 9 far more interesting.

Good course
Seemed to take a long time with no hold ups !
Morgan Porth Golf club
It was my first round at the course and it was a most enjoyable.
I joined up with a member Angus a very friendly chap.
He gave me hints around the course which considering the lack of rain we had had was in good condition. There were a lot of challenging holes which made it very interesting.
I will visit again when I have the chance.
Closes Early
Playing at 3 PM, we were not allowed to hire clubs, or carts; 2 PM was the latest hires were allowed. The reason being the pro shop closed at 6, as did the clubhouse bar, and returning hired equipment would not be possible.
We still played and very much enjoyed our round, fortunately, but it was inconvenient not being able to hire the equipment we needed.
Wish I had played better 😄
I was met with a warm welcome into a well kept clubhouse, which made me feel like a valued guest.
Nice open coarse with well laid out holes.
Some maintenance to the coarse was underway when I played, several bunkers were GUR but very pleasant coarse. Quite a long walk to some holes. Will be returning.
Excellent
Lovely course nice staff was a little wet but that's winter and the green were a bit bare but nothing serious just a few spots here and there but the flags had been place to try to avoide this and it was only a couple of the green would recommend this course. Only thing I would say is if you arnt good with a driver and woods it's could be a real challenge
Excellent course, good value for money
Playing for the first time while in the area for the Christmas holidays. Staff were very friendly and helpful in the pro shop. Course was in fantastic condition for time of year and greens rolled perfectly. Nice and open so suitable for all players. Excellent value for money, particularly if you get a hot deal on golf now. Would happily recommend as somewhere for a round.
