Mossock hall
Good course in decent condition for the time of year look forward to playing it again sometime soon
Poor drainage all over flooded
Played this course in the summer and it was great. With is still being a Premium price of £45 it’s top end so was expecting to to still held up well. Got there and all fairways and I mean all had puddles or small lakes! Bunkers full and overflowed out of them with water it was just a disaster, not seen a course with such poor drainage, greens where ok but if you can run up onto them due to moats around then for that price and the fact it had been dry all morning I didn’t see it drain any better, will not come here again unless the middle of summer u fortunately. Staff and food was great though. Just can’t see how they justify too price with such poor condition.
Very good course
Course in excellent condition. Only downside we were behind a golf society so not the quickest round of golf, but overall very enjoyable.
Mossock Review
Thought the course was facilities were great, driving range and practice putting green were easily accessible before our tee time. The greens were superb and in fantastic condition, I was really impressed.
The fairways were adequate as grass was quite long and parts were quite wet and soggy despite there being not much rainfall the days prior and it being middle of Summer. The tee boxes were again adequate with muddy patches and long turf under foot. I enjoyed my time playing here but I think the price for the round was too much and the golf course would need to be improved for this price to be warranted. £25/30 in my opinion for a late afternoon/ evening tee time would have seemed reasonable. Overall, I would recommend playing here as its a good long challenging course however I do think £40 is a bit steep for what it is.
Great course at a great price!
First time playing this course and couldn’t recommend this enough. Despite heavy rainfall the day before we played the course condition was excellent (a few puddles on 2 holes).
On the drive in make sure to look left and right as you drive across multiple holes / fairways.
Make sure to use the practice green for a good amount of time beforehand as all of the greens were very quick (and difficult) with a similar pace to that of the practice green so it gives a good indication of what to expect.
Coffee’s in the clubhouse are cash only so if you want a hot drink take some pound coins!
Food and drinks in the clubhouse were very reasonably priced.
Great course
Great course with some testing holes and the greens were in immaculate condition
Mossock Hall
Great club, course in good condition. Great variety of holes.
Only downside was range needed your own balls.
STAY AWAY UNTIL SUMMER
Should of been closed it was that boggy … 2 holes closed which they didnt tell us even after ringing up to check course was open temp greens and shortened tee box
Got told we couldnt use our trollys unless winter wheel so then had to hire ones after we had already teed off
Green keeper very nice just the course isnt ready yet but still open somehow
Deffo stay away until summer
Boss course
Played here 4 times now and I seem to enjoy it more and more each time. After playing most of the affordable courses around the Liverpool area, mossock is probably my favourite. For 35 quid you can’t go wrong.
The club house is better than most with a range food and drink to treat yourself to after a 18 hole session.
If you are debating giving mossock a try, you won’t be let down.
Enjoyable 18 holes! Slightly wet on back 9 dosnt effect your round too much front 9 was great! Every bunker filled with rain water
Enjoyable day
Very dry conditions considering the recent weather with only a small amount of areas a little damp, 100% playing again in the summer, I’d say £29well spent
Wont return anytime soon
Greens - never seen so many dead patches and bumps on greens.
Fairways - need wellys not golf shoes
Tee boxes - surrounded by pools of water, hardly any distance markers on the whole course
Bunkers were like swimming pools
Pro shop - stuck in the 70's

Brilliant course
Super impressed by this course. It’s been raining almost daily for weeks on end, but you wouldn’t know it being on the course. The whole course was in brilliant condition, no wet patches or puddles anywhere.
