Oakland Park Golf Club

After a second lockdown I was expecting the course to be in fantastic condition.

This was not the case, there were temporary tees on every hole which we were not informed about at any point during booking or on arrival.

The fairway grass was as long as the rough on most holes, making it hard to even identify if you had even hit one. Lastly the bunkers were short of sand and stoney.

I’ve played this course many times, and this is the worst it’s ever been.

Happy to be playing golf again but it will not be here again until it’s has some real TLC

Really enjoyed playing the course, surprisingly enjoyed the amount of par 3s.

Really disappointed by slow play. The backlog of play wasnt good at all. You get into a rhythm and flow when playing to then be stood on a tee box waiting for 2 x 2 balls in front of you still waiting to tee off. 8 minute slots with 4 balls simply doesn't work.

I would come back to play here again, hopefully I wouldn't have to withstand the slow play we incurred yesterday.

The course is not long, but still challenging in the aspect that you have to think about the placement of tee shots. It is in very good condition, fairways are quite tight and a few doglegs, 6 par 3's. but all decent and offer different challenges with some water features. To play a member's course on a Sunday is not always easy in terms of tee times, so at £30 for a weekend day I think is reasonable.

Lovely course. 7 par 3s which makes it different from most courses but very challenging on most. Severe doglegs on some of the holes. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Great value for money.

I was very surprised and pleased with our golfing experience here. Great course to go and sharpen up your game. Shortish course on a small piece of land but very well laid out. Very good fairways and greens. Obviously off course experience difficult to rate due to Covid. Would very much recommend if you want to relax and enjoy a round of golf for mid to higher handicappers ie. the majority of golfers

Oakland Park is well kept, nice tee boxes, undulating tiered greens, while not long it is tricky with lots of dog-legs and tight fairways. Perhaps too many par 3s (7)

Booking and checking in were fine. Friendly staff both checking in and after the round at the bar. Had a relaxed round with no one pushing us and equally not waiting The greens were fine, weather was hot so made it interesting. Would say it is not a bad course but that is always of the opinion of each person playing!

From a Covid-19 issue, I think the locals need to understand 1m distance!

Lovely course, awful staff. Had probably the worse experience of my golfing life at this place due to the snobby, stuck up staff. Had them talking down to me like I was some sort of school kid and for this I and my friends will NEVER be near this place again. I’ll also be telling everyone I know about the horrible people at this place and to avoid and that’s a shame because it’s really a lovely course but one to be avoided due to the stuck up staff...

1st time playing here and we loved it, its quite short but the layout make it tricky mix of water and fairway bunkers and dog legs mean accurate tee shots are required, only down side was that the bunkers hadn't been raked ( though we did tee off 1st thing) very enjoyable will be playing here again

Excellent pace, managed to get around sub 3 hrs with good etiquette from all other golfers. Fairly forgiving course layout but still enjoyable with a few strategic holes to make you think. Fairways firm but nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year, some of the better condition ones I’ve played on recently to be fair. Tee boxes and greens still soft and Playing true.

Played two rounds here now, the second time to bring some friends. Will be back again.
