What a good test of golf
Positives:
Every hole is a different challenge.
Great condition despite recent heavy rainfall.
Halfway house was excellent.
Negatives:
Even as a 4 ball it was slow. The 2 ball behind us jacked in at the halfway stage distinctly, so if you want to play there on a Sunday lunch time, take some mates to play with.
And disappointingly, finishing around 4.30 we expected there to be some decent food available but there wasn't.
Good Course
Club is nice and friendly. The admirals course is challenging, but rewarding if you play well. The setting is lovely, the course is fairly flat with the exception of one or two holes. The course can be deceptive and some holes play longer than it looks but each hole is playable but has enough to challenge you and make you think about how to play the course. I would recommended this course to anyone.
Nice course
Really nice course but greens had been corked so a little unlucky with that. Very challenging and very busy. Overall enjoyed the day and will play again.
Need to stop people stopping at the halfway house for food or have a preorder phone put in, holds golfers up behind if they don't require a stop off, slowing down play.
Heads up
I have played and enjoyed this course on a couple of previous occasions.
The course, at this moment in time is having A LOT of improvement works done and I appreciate that this will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the course. However, parts of the back 9 holes are unplayable due to the amount of plant movement, fencing, etc.
It would have been nice to have been given the heads up by the staff, prior to teeing off, about the state of the back 9 as it did spoil our game.
Unfortunately, I will not be recommending this course to anyone in the near future. Will definitely have to revisit after works have been completed though.
Challenging.
Good day, course in very good condition, value for money.
