Great cause very well set out good greens some challenging shots very friendly staff and helpful definitely play again soon
Open at last!
Great to finally get back to playing golf.
Oakmere is a great set up. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
We played the Admirals course and it didn’t disappoint. Over the winter the course has been fully manicured and was in perfect condition.
From the first tee with it’s intimidating downhill drive, to the 18th with virtually a 90 degree dogleg each hole provides a great test for golfers of all abilities.
Lots of blind shots and some sneaky water hazards to negotiate.
The greens were also very consistent despite being recently deep tinned.
I would definitely recommend playing oakmere to anyone.
Looking forward to returning soon.
The course is in wonderful condition and so well prepared every time I have been here. The greens are like carpets and putt very true and of a good pace. The facilities here are as good as anything you will find anywhere.
Full marks to all concerned at Oakmerr!
Excellent course
first time playing some difficult holes and challenging pins overall lovely course
One of the best in the area
One of the best courses in the area and great value for money
Superb venue
A good golf course with excellent staff given the current circumstances. we found it very good value for money and would certainly recommend it to any visitors to the area.
Great course
We really enjoyed playing this course.
It’s in good condition and has a really interesting and challenging layout. There are at least 5 holes of signature quality. The 1st is an excellent hole and sets the standard for the rest of the course.
We will return
A Good Knock
Enjoyable course in good condition. Played here a few times now and always enjoy going back.
Amazing as always.
Played Oakmere a couple of times before this always kept in great condition brought a friend over he loved it wants to come back again!!
Great course
Staff very friendly and helpful. Both Admiral and Commanders courses are top class. Well arranged and maintained. Great value.
Oakmere
Not played this course for long time really changed a lot , course layout is great greens are fantastic condition but take some reading but really enjoyed my round and will definitely be back
Great Value For Money
Played late in the afternoon early evening, the first 9 was a little slow playing behind a four ball not that great, things did pick up on the back 9 when we had the course to ourselves.
The course is a good layout with excellent bunkering typical of heathland courses, greens were running true and a good speed. Overall the course was a great experience
Great Condition
Played this course when many in the local area were waterlogged. Apparently it drains really well and they call it the 'all weather' course. Some great holes and a really good challenge...but without losing a bag full of balls.
great course
great condition lovely to play two holes hard to walk up the hills really well kept and looked after Defo be back soon
What a good test of golf
Positives:
Every hole is a different challenge.
Great condition despite recent heavy rainfall.
Halfway house was excellent.
Negatives:
Even as a 4 ball it was slow. The 2 ball behind us jacked in at the halfway stage distinctly, so if you want to play there on a Sunday lunch time, take some mates to play with.
And disappointingly, finishing around 4.30 we expected there to be some decent food available but there wasn't.
Good Course
Club is nice and friendly. The admirals course is challenging, but rewarding if you play well. The setting is lovely, the course is fairly flat with the exception of one or two holes. The course can be deceptive and some holes play longer than it looks but each hole is playable but has enough to challenge you and make you think about how to play the course. I would recommended this course to anyone.
Nice course
Really nice course but greens had been corked so a little unlucky with that. Very challenging and very busy. Overall enjoyed the day and will play again.
