Tired in places
Friendly staff and great pace of play, but for the money I wouldn’t be coming back. The variable length of grass on the fairways was bizarre, ranging from tufty and uncut in places through to bare and almost scorched in places. Efforts to improve drainage resulted in large sandy trenches in places, some even cutting through greens. The greens themselves were terrific in places - rapid with plenty of subtle breaks, but others had animal burrows and areas of bare mud in places.
WONDERFUL LATE AFTERNOON
Have not played golf for about 4 years due to hip problem. The course was very scenic but i knew before hand the greens are quite fast. But i had a wonderful time .In fact i discovered i hit 60% of fairways and 55% of the green .It really surprised me .i love the experience so much that i booked a tee time for this coming Saturday again,
Would highly recommend this course to any visitors. but beware of the fast greens .I will definitely be inviting a few of my friends
Issues
This is a lovely course to play that offers good value for money however they seem to have had a few issues with the course. In the past the condition has been excellent but this time it really was extremely poor. The fairways especially bad which resulted in the ball bouncing g all over the place. Still a lovely experience but slightly disappointed.
Worst condition I have ever played at this course
I love OFM and was always happy to be able to play this course. Unfortunately this time it was not very good experience as the course has been heavily damaged by extensive drainage works. Greens were very poor with enormous patches of sand and no grass. Tee boxes very poor as well. I will not play this course until the next year now. I wish them all the best as it was until now one of my most favourite GC in North London.
Watch get better
Course has clearly suffered. However all work now done. Good experience
OFM or OMG
What used to be a good course was in terrible condition, yes I know we’ve had a heatwave but it’s the worse course I’ve played all year…. I do hope it comes back, as I said it used to be a really good course..
Good Old Fold
Apart from some drainage work and generally dry ground conditions plenty to aim at.
Old Fold
Classic golf course with numerous challenges.
Some recent drainage work has spoiled the lies in places but overall a great round.
Staff were not that engaging!
Old Fold
Always a favourite in the summer but the bunkers do need some work

What can I say? Picked up a Twilight for £25 and that's a fair price. The sun has been splitting the stones with high temp here in the UK recently so we tried to book a buggy too but unfortunately it wasn't to be. (They need to be locked away and the Por shop would have been closed. (Trolleys are available). Considering how dry its been the course is playing really well. Fairways are still holdin a fair bit of cover and the greens lush and receptive. My partner mentioned they were a bit "fluffy" I expect in an effort to preserve any playing surface at all. That in itself is endemic of the thought process at this course I would suggest. Its smart thinking, the layout is smart thinking and some punitive rough makes for an entertaining round. I have only marked it down in off field amenities due to the fact that we couldn't get a drink when we finished. (There had been a function and other members had full glasses so perhaps we just didn't fit). Aside from that. Really pleasant. Wonderful to see a club not trying to rip people off with prices either. I will be returning for sure and will most likely book for our Work event too.
