Nice layout of the course. Could do with a bit of better maintenance for this time of the year and the reputation it has. But was a nice round at a very decent pace.

I’ve played here before and like the course and for £25 twilight was great value.

There is course maintenance currently so loads of sand on the greens, and work on some fairways, which is great that they are looking after the course but less good to play on.

Still great value for £25

Always pleasant playing this course, even though it can be busy some days. Challenging but rewarding. An enjoyable round, although afterwards in the bar the drinks prices seemed somewhat higher than we would have expected.

Course was brilliant, open and well maintained.

Can't wait to return.

staff and members friendly. greens grainy but smooth. some of the course in rough condition apart from greens and tees. i think slightly over priced for course conditions.

When I arrived the Golf Pro was very helpful and friendly, making sure I had everything I needed, and showing me where the various amenities were.

As a high handicap player, for me all courses are hard in their own way, including this one. Course condition was very good. It's a little hilly. The greens are challenging in a good way! A few fairways are curved rather than straight. Nice variety of trees, and it does have a hint of the coast about it.

Nice large outdoor drinks/eating space, with good service. A nice afternoon.

Played on Friday around midday. Weather wasn’t great (the heavens opened as we teed off), and there had been a fair amount of rain in the preceding few days. Despite this the course was in fairly good condition. Greens were good, fairways well maintained and the rough was punishing but not so much that ruined the hole. A few tee boxes were either temporary or in need of some love, but on the whole we enjoyed our visit. Compare this to Trent Park a few miles east that we played yesterday were the fairways and rough had not been cut in months and the ground so wet that every ball plugged and disappeared no matter where it landed apart from the green…

Had a great time at old fold. Course was in relatively good condition for the time of year although it would have been nice to have been told about a temporary green on one of the holes! Having said that this probably explains why the green fee was cheaper than normally expected. At £22 for a hot deal on golf now we feel this price was very fair. Fairways were okay given the amount of rain we have had recently. Some wet boggy patches but this is as expected really. Greens were in really good condition which has always been the case for old fold over the years and they didn’t fail to impress again. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon of golf

Greens tricky but excellent.

Course was in good condition considering the time of year. Greens very challenging! Teed off just before 10am with no in front or behind us all the way round. Really good value and very friendly staff in the clubhouse afterwards when having a well deserved pint. Will definitely be back.
