Panshanger Golf Complex

The course was in great condition for this time of year and the green were running true and fast. There are some challenging holes which make you think carefully about club selection. There are a few short par 4's around the 300 yrd mark however if you're spot on with your drive you will be in trouble. Fairways are surprisingly wide on some holes which invites you to take a driver. Pro shop is well stocked and the staff and green keepers are really friendly. This is a great public course.

Course is in good condition for this time of year. Girl in club shop very friendly.the round for us was ruined by group behind who hit balls whilst we were still in range of them. Called the ranger telling them we were going too slow (bear in mind it recommends 4hours 10 mins and we completed in 4hours dead) said ranger came and had a go at us for slow play ruining round when the group behind were still at a reasonable distance behind us. Also were told off as there was no one in front of us even tho when we teed off the group in front reed off 30 minutes prior to us.

It was first time playing the course and once I got past the grumpy person on reception it was great. I have no handicap so that will indicate how much I’ve played but whilst it was challenging at times you get rewarded for a good shot with fairways feeding into greens nicely.

Some groups ahead were slow meaning we had a backlog at the 10th but that meant I played the back 9 with a nice bloke called Dirk who helped me understand where exactly the greens were as there were no markers pointing which direction to go in - adding line markers to show where the greens are would definitely help.

Definitely a course I will go back too often in 2020.

Challenging without being too difficult for very average golfer. Club house has a playback of approach to last hole which is a great feature

Played Sunday afternoon at 13.20 hrs using hotdeals - the course was well maintained and greens very good for this time of the year. Got round in just under four hours as no one else we saw on the round. Bunkers well maintained also (found a few!).

Overall for a public course and only £14 for a round, I cannot fault this course. My friend who does not like venturing far was more than happy to come and play here for the value and the course. Testiment itself.

I played this course for the first time was pleasantly surprised by course conditions and the views were lovely. Unfortunately play was too slow and I couldn't finish my round as I had to go to work. I politely asked the pro if I could come back and finish my 9 holes another time as I had paid for 18 and he rudely told me. I would not be returning on the basis of principle. It's a shame because it's a nice course.

Condition of course for time of year so so good well done to everyone concerned with its upkeep I'll be back

Staff and other golfer no problem. Course wasnt in great nick, greens were a lottery as to where your ball would actually finish up. Wouldn't be in a rush to return unless there was some money spent on what seemed like a very tired and unloved course

Great course layout, greens and course conditions better then when I played last in June. Pace of play a little slow as there's a lot of beginner golfers playing a tough course.

Would of been nice to see a Marshall just having a word or two to keep course moving a bit quicker.

I think for value for money this is the best course for miles. Undulating hills gives a challenging round for all levels. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

The low price belies the value from playing this, for a senior, challenging course.
