A nice layout at Panshanger golf club
We started off the day with a full English breakfast in the clubhouse and the staff were helpful and friendly in the pro shop and course was playing well for the first week of January 2023 with excellent tees & greens and we finished off back in the clubhouse for a drink and there's fantastic views of course from the clubhouse , recommended a day out here 😀 🏌🏻♂️🏌🏼⛳️
Badly signed for next hole.
The course was of course wet but some greens were like waterlogged and others dry. No roughor fairway all blended into one. Bad directions to next hole.
Was ok
Winter - Good Condition!
Played a few times over the summer and it was in good condition. This time playing it in winter and it also in a good way. Some of the greens were a bit damp but they were mostly pure - ones that get more sunlight were in great condition. Bunkers had lovely sand in and was very enjoyable!
Course is great, but conditions were terrible!
For a public course this is well established and a great layout. Not a long course, but if you're not accurate then you will have a great relationship with many trees!
There's a good variety of holes, each with it's own difficulty and local knowledge is essential.
We play in December and it was -3 deg C and there was frost on the ground (all day) and the Greens were like concrete - I was surprised the course was even open!
Still enjoyed it though!
Not going back
Very boggy course with poor signage throughout. Had to give up by the 9th as play was so slow. Won’t be going back.
Challenging and well kept
Course was in good condition considering rain lately. Well drained, greens in good condition, challenging enough but really enjoyable. Would definitely recommend

Always good value
I have always enjoyed playing the course since a young age. It offers good value for money with the course always in a reasonable condition with a good selection of holes…all offering their own challenge. Play yesterday was not the quickest with some holes backed up due to slow play in front. This was not totally unexpected as the reasonable green fee entices the beginner and lesser ability golfer.
Grass grows
I know this has probably been the time the grass grows fastest, but the fairway had plenty of places where it was VERY difficult to find a ball due to the length of the grass. Off to the sides, it was often impossible to find the ball, even when I saw roughly where it landed.
Otherwise, very happy with the course.
