Rother Valley Golf Centre - Main Course

Some fairly short par 4s which was nice amd testing greens. Good pace on greens with different level changes. Very enjoyable round.

First game back after lockdown and couldn’t have picked a better day, brilliant sunshine and the course was in fantastic condition, quick greens, challenging pin positions and the fairways were cut and short, but.....and not for the first time on this course, the pace of play was so slow, we were behind a foursome and forever waiting on the tee box for them, seeing as we were playing in a two ball I thought they might have let us through but unfortunately not, the only blemish on a brilliant day.

Me and my friend booked this course to play, when we got there, people were already walking off. They said the course should not be open with how bad the course is, we thought we would go on to play, after playing the first hall we realised how bad it was, you could not walk without slipping! There was footprints on the green, wet sludge everywhere you could hardly see the grass with how bad it was. We walked off on the 3rd hole and asked for a refund. This had to be done via golf now, golf now contacted the club and they refused to refund us. I will not be going back to this course.

First time playing this course. Weather was a let down and due to the rain made some place like a mud bath but didn't stop the enjoyment had a thoroughly great 4.5 hours of golf. Have already booked to come back again and will be doing a lot more...... Great course !!

The course should have been closed, waterlogged everywhere, played here in summer and no complaints with the actual course, but this time almost every hole was unplayable, all T boxes and green open, absolute quagmire, not one for complaining but a really disappointing experience, i feel sorry for the staff coming in after the weekend to try and sort it out.

Total mud bath verging on unplayable despite ringing in morning to be told COURSE IN GOOD CONDITIONS!

It’s a lovely little course. It’s quite wide and open, but still offers a challenge with most of the greens quite small. Hitting your targets on the green is key to scoring well and avoiding trouble. Very much enjoyed the course

This course has the best greens I’ve played on in years! Can’t wait to get back to the course! Very forgiving for beginners but doesn’t ruin a round for the more experienced golfer with a challenging par 3 on the seventh with plenty of fairway bunkers that are all well kept

Ive played all over the north of England and i think this is obe of my favourite courses. All the holes were interesting. The greens were very soft probably due to recent rain but looked well maintained.

Could do with a few more sign posts.

The pace of play was very slow due to couple of 4 balls ahead but i still enjoyed it.
