Bondhay Golf Club - Championship Course

It’s a challenging course and recovering well from the dry spell. Sadly the round was spoiled by the lack of etiquette of slow players giving way, so that it took an agonising 5 hours for us to complete our round as a 2 ball hence only 1 star for pace of play. !! Ridiculously slow which took the edge off the enjoyment. I would add that we haven’t had this problem before when playing this course so hopefully others won’t experience the same on a different day.

Overall a very nice, beautiful and well maintained course. Can be quite challenging especially if it's your first time.

Will definitely return again.

Course in good condition considering the hot weather we have had. The course can be very challenging for high handicappers as the fairways are tight. It use to have a lot of bunkers making it even harder, however the quantity has now been reduced and currently GUR. Clubhouse also has good amenities as well as a driving range and par 3 course.

I hadn’t played Bondhay in over 20years. The course has matured massively and is a tough test.

We played it after some really heavy rain that followed the weeks of high temperatures.

The greens were a little long but were consistent in speed.

Our favourite part was the layout - the holes are tree lined and dog legs make for testing tee shots and approaches.

Some consistent weather should make this course look amazing.

Great course set in some stunning scenery, have seen all sorts of wildlife this summer and has made it a pleasure to play golf again after nearly 30yrs. Well done Bondhay 👏

I loved this course but due to the lack of rain it was challenging off the fairways and bunkers, the greens were fantastic though fast but receptive to approach play as they are well kept, also have a good little range and practice area, all In all great value for money and will definitely book again

Played bondhay numerous times over the years and this will be the last. Very poor tee boxes and greens, fairways in need of a cut, and the general upkeep was poor such as edges of bunkers and paths. Seems as tho it has been neglected and i woon’t be returning

Always likes this course. The fairways are suffering with the dry/hot weather we have had. But the greens are in very good condition. Course is more difficult when very dry, but still playable.

Everything spot on, bit of slow play but to be expected with it being Sunday and comps.

Due to the heatwave the fairways were scorched and hard. However the greens were excellent. I find Bondhay a really challenging course and the back 9 in particular is tough unless you can hit the fairways. Anything just left and right and your punishment is a lost ball.

Layout fantastic with a good risk/reward. Course conditions were very dry overall, but greens had been watered well. Peaceful, good pace of play & friendly staff

We were supposed to be playing in the junior open today.

We arrived today.

We got told AT THE CLUB, that the open was cancelled over a week ago.

We had NO NOTIFICATION or COMMUNICATION it was cancelled.

NO APOLOGY WAS GIVEN FOR WASTING OUR TIME.

Appalling service, appalling comms, customer service -10.

We missed out on another junior open because of this fiasco and we will never play this course now.

I also heard they treated their junior section appallingly in the last few years. I can see that in the complete lack of care, skill and customer service we experienced.

Tree line tight fairways pure greens unforgiving this is what makes golf great.
