Seascale Golf Club

Set in the shadow of the Sellafield nuclear plant - Seascale was a revelation. We played in a stiff south westerly wind with light and then moderate rain for our first seven holes - which then turned dry. The front nine was mainly downwind. 430 yards holes were a drive and a pitching wedge. The back nine however is a different challenge and a 430 yard hole was a drive, a 2 hybrid, a three hybrid and a pitching wedge! All struck well. The greens were excellent though we played one day after the club championship final.

Well worth the long drive from Lancaster. It was a really hot day with not a whiff of wind. The fairways were very generous and the greens very receptive. The only issue was getting stuck behind a womens 3 ball who were very slow which meant there where 3 groups behind me in the same hole. Apart from that I very much enjoyed it and will definitely be going back again

Played on a really windy day so course played hard but what a great place to play, nice contrast of holes ,some amore inland based, some pure links but a great mix, great value with the hot deals even though it is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the travel, if you fancy it go for it.

Very nice course and worth the money I paid. Big fairways makes it very playable for all standards. Nice greens, bunkers, fairways etc. I would definitely like to play it again.

Loved the layout of the course. It gives you a chance with wide fairways and excellent bunkers. The only criticism was that the greens were exceptionally slow. Perhaps they were just a little Behind for the time of year. I would definitely like to go back and play it again.

Arrived to a warm welcome from staff. Catering was available and the catering staff made up sandwiches to take with us on the course. The Course was in excellent condition. The layout is a little confusing on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes, but easily manoeuvred with a little patience.

The weather was cracking with sun and a barely noticeable breeze.

An excellent experience all round.

Brilliant course, long wide fairways with plenty of tricky bunkers. Great set up would definitely come to play again.

Loved this track the views are stunning a typical links course it did play easy as the weather was stunning they even gave us a course planner. We would definitely come back again.

We picked a shocking day weather wise but cant say anything bad about the course. Play it if you get chance.

Great round today at Seascale. Insanely windy but a real links challenge!Lost so many balls to the wind and punishing rough but still really enjoyed the course. Some great holes, consistent reasonable paced greens with a true roll. Friendly staff. Very reasonable price. Definitely play again.
