A great time greens very good a nice day and good breakfast.
Slightly above average course
I was a member at Sherfield back in 2011 so I know this course well.
The condition of the course is not as good as I remember it - but then I think I stopped playing around October back then. Greens are pretty decent but fairways were really struggling. There's also a lot of 'instant ball-lost' rough that's easy to hit into - make sure you have a decent supply of balls if you're a high handicapper.
The layout of the course it pretty decent: apart from a slight slog between 9 and 13 (where the holes get long and straight) things are kept varied and challenging. I think 'average' is the best term for most things - not too long or short, not narrow or wide, not too much rough or too little.
If you can play this for sub £25 it's definitely worth adding to the list - the club house is a nice place to enjoy a pint afterwards at least.
