I only paid £11 for this round and that’s fantastic value for money. It’s not a great course, but it’s a good course. I would recommend it for high handicappers like me (22) but people below 20 would find it to easy. It’s a short narrow course, with a few too many crossover tees for my liking. Too many places where you have to watch out as you tee off. But all things considered l, a good day out

Ok played ok for winter and is good value for money

Good cource. Very well looked after and the greens were really good.

Greens have improved alot and course is a good challenge for all abilities.

Varied holes, not too long so suited to beginners. This fact means a wide variety of abilities were on course. Better players would be frustrated by some of the hacking going on and waiting required.

This course has an odd layout and the greens weren't the best but if your beginning and want to get out and play then this should suit you but I personally won't be playing there again

A tricky winding course

We played it in high winds with leaves twigs and small branches flying round us which meant Finding balls and greens were a challenge

Many bunkers were GUR but generally the course and greens were well maintained

It’s half way between sons in Reading and Bristol very good value for money and we will definitely use it again

Very disappointed with some aspects, the fairways were covered in branches, surely these can be cleared, swept or blown away, played some good courses lately, unfortunately this isn't one of them. It was cheap so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Tee time 9am

Not the first time we’ve played this course, however it will probably be the last.

Greens where in poor condition, seemed rolled rather than cut. Tees where in a really poor Condition, there’s a heavily pitch marked tee, and then there’s just mud. Why put the markers in the worst areas.

Far too many people Crammed in, 10-15 minute waits on some tees with 3 groups waiting at a time. Some

Groups didn’t even finish and decided to just walk off.

Not sure how they can charge the prices they do for the condition of the course.

Far better courses locally in better condition.

We where followed by a ‘society’ more like a stag do, balls flying everywhere from all directions, buggy’s on edges of greens, no one on the course keeping an eye.

Very disappointing

First time here, read reviews about layout, but on the back of the scorecard is the course layout and although it’s unorthodox it is extremely easy to follow. Course in good to very good condition. A good challenge with some narrow fairways and constant lines of trees. Shot placement is key but is forgiven. Highly recommended will be back ASAP

I didn't expect much based on the reviews I read before booking and the price so I did not expect much and I was greatly surprised. The course was well maintained where possible. Pace of play was no issue. There was a society in front of our 2 ball the only stop points were around the par 3s but they weren't long at all so no complaints. Signage and the map on the scorecard were clear enough to find our way around the course. I will admit, some tee boxes are rather close but I feel I and the group behind me(never played there before either) found theirway round just fine. So in my view, good value for money considering the course is £15 a round, and I've been to courses in worse condition charging £60 a round due to there history. So no complaints here. Will book again soon.

I played here on what was a ridiculously hot day and had to join 3 others who had booked through golf now, I've played here before so was aware pace of play can be slow, the guys I played with had never played here before and were grateful I was with them as signage to tees is woeful and they said they would have probably got lost, we were held up on every tee upto the 11th where the groups in front of us luckily decided to stop for a break, having chatted to a 2 ball on the tee it turned out they had never played the course and it seemed the 4 ball in front of them hadn't either so were getting slightly lost between some holes, better signage of a map is a must for 1st time visitors,

The greens were in good condition, however the tees and fairways in places are so dry and burnt it makes some shots almost unplayable, there hasn't been much rain in the area recently but its seems only the greens get watered by the green keepers,

All that being said its a nice course, some interesting holes and you need to keep it fairly straight as its very tree lined, I paid 11 quid and thats great value, just don't expect a quick round.

If it’s your first time playing here, it’s very easy to get confused not enough signs to show where the next tee is.
