Shrivenham Park Golf Club

Some very nice holes and some pretty boring holes. Greens were a bit lumpy but Overall for the price we paid you cannot go wrong.

Took 3 hr 15 for a 2 ball.

Arrived and straight away looked like a garden shed as club house, but can deal with that. The greens are in a bad bad state, a lot of yellow patches and I have seen fairways with shorter grass. The tee boxes where uneven and poorly maintained. The course it’s self is a terrible layout a lot of the holes cross over and if it’s busy you can be waiting a while to tee off due to other holes crossing on your fairway. You have a lot of social golfers hacking it around due to cheap price so expect slow play. One of the holes has high vis cones in the middle of the fairway which isn’t the most pleasing to the eye. Club house was shut an hour early so not even a pint on the old tired benches outside the club house. Overall save your money or pitch and putt on a park.

For 11 quid you cant grumble. The fairways were in really good condition along with the greens. Hole 7 was under repair so shortened but these things happen.

I enjoyed the round and will go again.

Really poor course, not maintained. Unhelpful staff member hint of arrogance.

Lovely location on some holes, others are swampy.

At £12 a round and given some of the earlier reviews my expectations for this course were not that high. However even though the club house is little more than an elongated shack the guy managing the bookings was really friendly and very helpful (my partner was stuck in traffic and going to be late, once I told the guy this he immediately found a new tee off time for us, brilliant) and the place did offer all you need, a small shop for golf accessories, a bar and an all day menu. The course itself was well kept, lots of mature trees that make it a tight course and the greens were in very good condition. I would imagine in autumn things could get difficult with fallen leaves and finding your ball even on the fairway but thats just an assumption. Today everything thing was very good and included some really challenging, though provoking holes, you really do have to think your way around some holes on this course. Really good day

Always like the layout of the course but it requires a bit of TLC. Greens looked good but needed a cut, as did most parts of the course. First cut of rough was too deep and myself and two playing partners lost a lot of balls that were only just off the fairway, this also was contributing to slow play. This comment was also made by members playing in front of us. This will probably the last time we give this course a chance.

Have played here a few times now and each time I've found the staff to be friendly & helpful and the course to be very well kept whilst remaining challenging, leaving you feeling eager to return again & again.

Brilliant course, they have there own Amen corner! Love playing this course, best in swindon area, definitely worth visiting!

Too many amateurs played 4,5 hours should be marshal out to check on players
