St Augustine's Golf Club

Played this course after it had taken on a lot of rain but was told that conditions weren’t great before I teed off so I was prepared for it.

The fairways were a little bit long but it was due to green keepers not being able to get out and cut them so it forced me to alter my game slightly (I’m useless at chipping) but actually did me the world of good!!

Loved the short pat 3s and a couple of holes were a good challenge so it’s well worth a visit!

I can imagine in the height of summer this is a great course to play and I will definitely go back

Lovely course but a lot if cross overs and tees close to greens which makes for a bit of waiting around and being hit by a wayward ball (one of our group was). A few sketchy greens but they are being addressed. No real complaints though on the value for money front.

The course is maintain a Greta standard highly recommend playing here

I play here often it's a really good course for all abilities. I've not been playing long so I was a bit daunted by the course at first. But the staff are very accommodating. The course it's self is very well maintained and a beautiful course to play. Every hole presents a new challenge with a good mix of long par 5s holes and tricky par 3s with a good scattering of well made par 4s. Occasionally you will come across a slow moving group. A reminder from the club pro to groups of 3 or 4 to allow quicker groups to play through would be my only suggestion for improvement. On the whole this is an incredible course at a very reasonable rate that should be played by anyone who enjoys the game of golf.

Having played several times last year when on holiday seeing the mother, I wanted to play a decent well.looked after course. Initially, on arrival there was a sea frèt which are it difficult to follow the ball but this did blow past throughout the game. As mentioned, last year, the course was in wonderful condition. However, this time it was not. The fairways were like playing in a field. I appreciate it was wet in parts but you could not define first cut from fairways.

The greens however, were as previously played, in great condition.

Will look forward to playing g there again in August when I hope it has been cut and ready to play when in great condition.

😡😡 this is the second time myself and friends have booked and payed for the round on golf now driven 45min to the course only to find out the course was closed. Now Im not sure who's to blame but it's not acceptable especially as were now in 2023 and technology isn't a problem but also with cost of wasted fuel I'm sure golf now will refund me like before but again this is the second time this has happened and it practically ruined what was ment to be a good day for golf

Fantastic course during the summer, greens were good for March, few temps, long fairways and first cut. Not the best from October to April I’ve found. Wil return in a few weeks.

Played this course many times in the warmer weather but found the course in Great shape especially the greens in early march well done to all those who look after the course .. pace of play is always a issue but this will always happen when there are short par fours all in all a Great course and looking forward to going back soon

Played a 3-ball and had a great time. The course was in great condition and greens were extremely fast, and testing. Would thoroughly recommend

Played st Augustine’s a couple times in the spring/summer and a lovely course.

However if you’re looking to book in the winter I would advise checking with the course first the conditions.

Twice now I have booked via golf now. Once I turned up to discover only 14 holes in play and all temp greens.

This weekend all 18 temp greens unlike other local

Courses. I’m told they often have all temp greens in the winter.’

Cancelled and booked somewhere else in the end.

Good condition at present. Doesn't cope so well with heavy rain. Fair test, play here a lot so gets most things right.

First thing to say that we booked on the day about two hours before play . Lot of frost etc Turned up at club to be told by pro that all flags on temp greens. He also said don't bother as temp greens not good and he would give us a ticket to play at another time , couldn't give us a refund . We were on short leisure break so wouldn't be in area again . So we played which was big mistake , Pro was correct , temp were awful and very mucky. Course layout looked good , greens had no frost and looked great .The really frustrating thing was the course next to it (solent Lees )was on greens !! It would have be nice if Pro had called me when he saw booking to let us know the condition of course so we could cancelled before travelling to course. .Not arrive there and really have no choice but to play . . Massive disappointment as course did look nice .

Nice enough course, very scoreable! However….the pace of play was very very slow, unfortunately people have forgotten the basic course etiquette to let much quicker players though. At one point we had four groups waiting on one tee box.

Course is in good condition, good value for money.

I needed to play a flat course due to my condition and this was the perfect layout. A little narrow but ok. You just need to be more aware of the traps like hidden ditches and rivers. Apart from that I was very impressed

Played with my son, found on arrival that we had been paired up with two others who turned out to be good company. Course was busy but only had to wait once or twice during the round due to adjacent greens and crossing fairways. will be back again.
