Westgate & Birchington Golf Club

This is a great little short course. 7 par 3's but one is loooonig. There were a couple of greens with some damage but the rest were excellent. Tees and fairways were good. If there's a wind blowing this would make it quite a challenge.

Shop pro and bar staff all very friendly and accommodating.

Very quirky layout but was fully explained by the friendly staff. The course is very short but apart from some damage on the greens, that looked like vandalism, it is generally in very good condition. It’s a very open course and when we played it the ground was very hard so the ball ran a long way. But would recommend it as a fun, confidence building round. Shoutout to the halfway hut girl who was just locking up for the day but offered to re-open if we needed anything.

Great value, course in excellent condition green keeper should be commended for his work, always friendly on and around the course, pro shop , 1/2 way hut and bar area. Fun course, great for all levels of ability

Probably one of the best courses in Thanet. Very good course no complaints about anything maybe the price as it has risen considerably. Clubhouse is great with food options and a vast array of drinks

I arrived at the course to be told that Golfnow had booked 7 golfers all with the same tee time. I had a long wait before I could tee off. I am not impressed with Golfnow.

I really enjoyed playing this short but lovely course. The pro was very friendly and gave me advice before the round. I was stuck behind a lot of members in a competition, so pace was slow, but I was in no hurry so didn't mind.

The condition of the course was excellent, particularly after so much rain; a member told me that because it's a chalk base it drains very well.

I'll definitely be going back when I'm next in Thanet.

Interesting course - not hilly, no water hazards and not long with lovely sea views. An enjoyable round but the back nine spoilt by very slow play in front.

Friendly welcome. Bit confusing scorecard as not played in order. Well kept course, quite short but with some tricky par 3s. Some slow players ahead of us which can happen anywhere I guess. Enjoyable afternoon.

The course is in good condition and holds up better than most into winter but we had to contend with aerated long grass greens which is always tricky. I understand it’s necessary though.

Flat course, 64 par off yellows. Some tight drives. Course was very dry and some greens were undergoing work but overall a great afternoon of golf

Nice to play a course we’ve not played before. Nice and flat, no real hills. Shame there was 2 temporary greens. Play was very slow, just busy I think. Overall very enjoyable. A lot of par 3’s and the lack of par 5’s but they didn’t spoil the enjoyment at all.

A nice little par 64 course. Staff friendly and great vaule by using hot golf deals. Play every week and always use bar/restaurant at finish.

Quite a basic course with a lot of par 3’s,nicely laid out with some tricky holes,the course is in good condition and a great course to walk,some great views of the sea.

What a find ! lovely little course , with the weather as your only hazard , had a great round and will return for another round soon

Probably the best greens i have seen so far this year.
