Stapleford Abbotts Golf Club - Abbotts Course

Turned up for tee time for 2 24 and took 4 hours and 40 minutes to play 16 holes would of walked of early but your no way near the clubhouse.

Apart from a couple of patchy greens . No problems at all.

Always a pleasure to play Stapleford abbots course, decent layout with some great holes. Will be back again to try and better my previous score.

I played on Sunday . Never seen the greens so bad. They are the worst greens I’ve played on for several years. Tees not much better.

The pace of play was shocking. 5 hours around there is terrible.

A totally miserable experience and won’t be back for a good whole. Definitely not worth the money.

Interesting course, required to use a lot of the bag, not just bombing drives. Despite the dry weather fariways were nice and greens were I'm great nick. Few improvements they are making to some tees too, look forward to returning.

An expensive course for what it is. Short holes make it tough work.

Good value but the booking system seems a little adhoc. Tee times were available from 12 to 3pm with very few bookings. When we arrived it was absolutely packed. Took 5 hours for the round. I'm normally round in a buggy in 3hours.

Walk-ins don't get added to the system so no way of knowing how busy the course was. Staff said not busy buy the 4th hole had 4 groups on it at once.

Very cheap price to play a full 18 hole golf course. And the course was not in a bad condition at all. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cheap round of golf to play. Only problem with the course was the hole could sometimes feel a little bit repetitive and the greens felt a little bit on the smaller size and quite slow as they felt a little long. But other than those two small things brilliant

Really enjoy it here. Played it a quite a lot.

What's nice is that you have to think about lots of holes it isn't just driver off the tee. Knowing your club distances to corners of dog legs comes in really handy..plenty of water to lose balls in - 5 penalty strokes for me! Still managed 3 birdies and shot 89. So happy overall.

Love the fact this course is one you have to think your way round, and you can't pick the driver out of the bag at every tee box. There are strategically placed traps, dog-legs and this is a good test of your all-round golf skills with some nice greens which were true.

Some tricky holes where driving accuracy, dog legs, and length are key.
