Great Course
Always enjoy playing here, a few lovely right to left dogleg par 5's and 4's make it a worthwhile trip
Staverton
Great course layout and long enough to really open the shoulders on, pace of play here us becoming increasingly an issue though.
Very enjoyable round
Course understatablyhaa suffered from a lack of water on the fairways but Greens were very good and I love the layout.
Would certainly recommend using a buggy as its pretty hilly.
Great value late tee time.
Good layout average greens and tee boxes
BH weekend, very busy but pace of play not too bad. Played here a few times and it’s a great course layout with interesting holes. This time greens were average (at best) and the boxes needed TLC.
Overcrowded and in moderate condition
This is actually a good course with interesting holes. However the greens were slow and inconsistent the fairways had almost no grass cover and at one point there were 3 groups all waiting on the same tee.
The clubhouse is soulless and the staff charmless
Great value for money
I played Staverton Park twice in 3 days this week. It was roasting hot on Monday and the fairways were baked out and very firm. Greens were well watered and relatively slow in comparison but that was welcome. The course has some great holes and is challenging off the tee where you need to be accurate and it helps to know where you're going. The 2nd in particular requires a draw off the tee for a right hander and you can get a lot of run down the hill and reach the par 5 in 2. My only complaints would be the bunkers, and there are a lot of them, had inconsistent amounts of sand in them and were not raked by many of the other guests. The walk from the 9th green to the 10th tee is lengthy and it is a very hilly course so not an easy walk especially on a hot day. The par 3's are quite long off the back tees but not the best holes on the course. Signature hole for me would be the par 5 11th which plays dramatically downhill and a major dog leg left.

Overall good place to go , bunker a tad stoney but would go back
Hotel courses
For £20 ( after 16:00 ) I wasn’t expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised.
The course is an established parkland layout with some long, sweeping fairways.
I’d rate the greens 7 out of 10, bunkers 5 out of 10 ( some just needed more sand - everyone needed raking but that’s a hotel course problem )
Overall I was very happy and would recommend to anyone needing accommodation, food and drink close to a decent course.
Twilight round.
First off the pro shop staff are friendly and the course is in good condition.
Pace of play is really slow, probably due to the fact that people keep popping up at the tee in front of you obviously cutting the course as it’s quite easy to do. Lots of single players asking to play through. Coming to the 10th tee there where two groups waiting, these were not the ones originally in front of us and were playing 9 holes off the 10th. Between coming off the 9th and hitting on the 10th tee we waited over 20minutes. Consequently by the time we got finished the bar had closed so couldn’t enjoy a nice cold beer after. I’d say just about £20 worth if you don’t mind waiting around a lot?
Good Course a bit hard
Nothing wrong with it. Wish you could buy 9 holes. could only buy 18.
